Portugal, The Country

Recommended Posts

A few years back, I spent a week in Espinho (just south of Porto) for work. Not much to do in Espinho besides the casino and the beach, but they had a great little seafood restaurant called Barco Boador.

We spent a couple evenings in Porto. It's a fun city to just roam the streets. Although, one night that almost led to us missing the last train back to Espinho! Grab a dinner or drinks at Sumo. Technically it's in Villa Nova de Gaia (on the south shore of the Douro), but it's real close to central Porto, and a great view at night. And don't miss the Livraria Lello, it's a huge old bookstore with an awesome spiral staircase!

Thanks Smailtronic!

I'll definitely go to that old bookstore, I love books!

and the picture Douro riverbank 6 reminds me a lot of Québec city, where I'm from, when we use to sail on the river with my father.

That does look similar! Those Douro riverbank night shots were all taken from the Sumo restaurant I mentioned.
