bmsaareagles Posted July 22, 2010 Share Posted July 22, 2010 I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the Hot Topic's in Florida, preferably Orlando had the section where they sell vinyl. I have only been to two Hot Topic's in my life, one in Philly which did have the record section, and one in Gainsville that didn't. I was looking at that place online along with Rock N' Roll Heaven. I am thinking about checking them both out, I am hoping they have a good amount of vinyl, other places I have checked out have had really bad selections. I've been to a couple, and while they do have some vinyl it is an EXTREMELY small selection and generally not good. Park Ave CD's is for sure where you want to be. Good people, great store & great selection. Rock & Roll Heaven is good, they are just a bit overpriced in my opinion. They have more vinyl then anywhere else, but when it comes to the selection of punk/indie type stuff Park Ave wins hands down. If there is a specific older record you are looking for (classic rock/jazz/soul/etc) then that's where Rock & Roll heaven comes in... just be prepared to pay for it. That's where you're gonna find that rare Beatles, Elvis or Stones album in good condition for $500. Anyways, there's also another spot called Retro Records on Bumby Ave that has a pretty killer used selection at very fair prices. Only thing is you're not gonna find anything current there. The Hot Topic in the Florida Mall was okay vinyl wise. They had about 30 or so, I will have to check out the other places some other time.
