mcm1610 Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 What's a good one? Ad-aware seems to delete, but not fully delete it (according to my brother) so we want to try another one. I'm not sure what the spyware file is, specifically, as I haven't run the scan myself yet. But anyway.. what do you guys recommend? Spybot S&D, etc.. tommytumult Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 When my friends have them fix their computers, I generally start with a scan using Hijackthis, which you shouldn't use unless you really know what you're doing or you can post the log file on a forum(the makers of the software have one you can use, I think), and after that, I do a spybot S&D scan in safe mode, so it can really get rid of baddies.
