skumbucket
...does anyone ever listen to the string quartet "tributes" to popular music? i find them oddly soothing sometimes. i also listen to them when i want to fool people into thinking i listen to more classical music than i actually do or when i want to feel precocious. plus, the taking back sunday one actually makes the material from their last couple of albums listenable! swank
Even more confusing are those "Rockabye Baby" releases, that are all famous songs being done in lullaby. They've made them for dozens of bands now. I listened to the Green Day one. It was strange. Still, even more confusing than that are the intrumental christmas tributes, which are essentially the same thing as the lullaby ones, only with the addition of sleighbells on every song. They made them for Metallica, ACDC and Green Day. I listened to the Green Day one. It was stranger than the lullaby one.
