kidamnesiac
Very cool. I tend to prefer running my table in to my receiver first, I get a better signal from my Marantz. But very cool all the same.
kidamnesiac
Tried this method today with the Audition 4 beta for Mac and it produced INFINITELY better results than my standard process. I did have to run my signal through my receiver to get a good signal, but I was able to almost completely remove any pops and clicks as well as the normal background hiss and other table noise. Thank you for the link. +
rocknroll76
Think it would work with Garageband?
kidamnesiac
Think it would work with Garageband? No. Garageband doesn't have a spectral editor.

kidamnesiac
that guy really recorded hot, his waveforms are clipping all over the placeYeah I personally record it a little softer to preserve the full spectrum of sound, but to each their own. The core principles of cleaning up the tracks, though, were revelatory for me.
