This is the second time this has happened. With 15 seconds left I set my max bid and press proceed. It then says you have been outbid the auction ends and I lose to a bid that was less mine max bid. This is extremely aggravating since I wanted both those records bad.

If the high bid was 6.50 and you try to bid 6.75 it won't let you. But if the high bid is 6.50 and that person's max is 10.50 and you bid 10.52 then 10.52 is the high bid. At least that's my understanding of how it works

Yeah, without knowing the exact situation I can't really say. I am guessing human error is heavily involved.

I doubt it was human era cause I was thinking about it the whole time. Ive never had this happen when bidding on my Iphone.. twice now on my computer. The increments were $2 and I was $10 over the max bid..
