athomewithkyle
I'm currently bidding on a test press on ebay. Though when I woke up today I realized the record is titled slightly wrong. Can I be getting ripped off? Or can this be an error on the labels part?

athomewithkyle
Well someone has outbid me, so I'm going to be safe and not bid on it again.
chiefwahoo
I don't think that'd bother me. Could range anywhere from a dummy writing the wrong name on the label to it being an early working title of the LP.
benchwarmer
yea, I've seen some places where the pressing plant is too lazy/doesn't care/doesn't check the name of the album and spell it wrong, or write it wrong.
stefan
As said above, the pressing plant is very likely to just have written it incorrectly. This should not be a total red flag, but with tests, it's always good to ask the person selling it where/how they came to possess it. athomewithkyle
Well thanks for all the input. Next time I bid on test press with an error, I'll feel a little more confident.
