srcvinyl
Also collect as many of the escort cards they'll hand out to you on the strip for practical jokes later. I will do this. We are staying at Vdara. Food: Asian, There is a good place in MGM Grand called The Grand Wok. It wasn't too expensive and it has a variety of Asian food. Really good sushi and curry noodle dishes. I think walking distance from Vdara. Italian: New York New York has this place which is pretty decently priced and fairly good: http://www.newyorknewyork.com/restaurants/il-fornaio.aspx Also, they have a good food court. Most food courts in the hotels have mainly fast food chains, NY has a decent pizza place and good pretzels. You should also check out Dicks Last Resort in Excalibur! Alright bar food, but fun environment. The Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay. House of Blues is also in Mandalay Bay. Not sure if there are any shows happening, but always nice to check out. Breakfast buffets: Mandalay Bay is really good, Paris is really good, Bellagio I found Ok, MGM is pretty good, stay away from Luxor and Excalibur. On Freemont, Main st was pretty decent for $6.95 per person! And not sure if it works at Vdara but you should check out the $20 trick. I used it at Mandalay Bay and ended up with a HUGE 1 bedroom suite during Punk Rock Bowling. http://www.thetwentydollartrick.com/ Hope that helps!! tylerrr
The lady and I are going in September and staying at the Cosmopolitan. So stoked! We just bought Penn & Teller tickets, too. The Cosmo is really really nice. you'll have to find the secret pizza place, it's kinda hard to find. I'm pretty sure it's on the same level as Jaleo and it's right by the pool table. Once you see the pool table follow the hallway that has framed records covering it. It's a cool little place with damn good pizza and they always have something good on tap. The Cosmo is bad ass though, you'll love it. Edit: Also Penn & Teller do a bullet trick that is pretty sweet... ENJOY!
bengalimenace
I can vouch for the $20 trick at the Mirage and Flamingo I've watched it work at the Venetian with $50. A friend of mine did the trick with $100 at Wynn about a year ago and got a bitchin' suite (not the bitchinest, but pretty fucking nice), an extra day comped (free room, food and a little gambling money!) and car service for the evening (he said the car/driver smelled like shit. He walks everywhere when he goes to Vegas now). I wouldn't count on ever getting this good of a deal, though and still can't figure out how he got all that for just $100. pjaicomo
Shit, I wish I had read about the trick before I checked in.
Shitty Rambo
I live a couple hours away from Vegas. Avoid any underpass tunnels or allies when traveling on foot at night I really like the New Orleans (off the strip) and the buffet at the Rio is legit! Shitty Rambo
OH! Go eat at The Bootlegger! (It's kind of far down on the strip) I'd compare the Italian food there to some I've personally have in NYC!
tylerrr
Also you guys should try Slidn' Thru it's a little ways down from the strip but so worth it. Amazing sliders and fries... Seriously amazing menu.
raidenradio
If you like poker avoid Circus Circus and New Orleans. I recommend Caesar's as they have good tournaments structures, sit n go tournaments, and offer more games. I think they're the only casino in Vegas that offers lower stakes H.O.R.S.E. for example.
