mrcapitillar
Those things that look like George Foreman grills. They supposedly flatten out warped vinyl... quite sure they are expensive though. I received the new Samiam record today and it is warped so much that it produces bad surface noise. If anyone has one I will send you records to fix and I will pay you in return.
GradedOnACurve
I don't think the Samiam LP sold out. I'd e-mail merch now and ask for a replacement. Heavy textbooks with dumbells and a week or two usually works for me.

Sounds like it should work
vinylville
The melting point of vinyl is actually very low. I'm not saying to heat your records but I've placed them in between huge books with extreme weight on the warped disc in the back seat of my car to see what it would do... and it worked like a darn charm. The record was somewhat of a goner, so I wasn't too worried if I turned it into a frisbee... It was an old beat up blues record that i didn't have and it was so warped the tonearm looked like it was doing motorcross. It has some vg noise (which it already had) but it didn't ruin the record to abuse it in the heat to straighten it. blew me away. it freakin worked, and didn't distort the LP from what i can tell. beneathbelow
This sounds crazy but, I have used two sheets of glass, and put the vinyl in between them on a hot day and it worked fine. didnt melt vinyl and straightened record out.
