derek123
I've recently started a new band and sometime in the future would like to put out a record on my own for the first time. I'd love to start with a very small run of LP's but I want to know what amount of records would be the minimum to be pressed. I'm assuming some plants have different minimums, but just ballpark. Eclipsical
Check out Palomino Records Pressing. Good prices, and they seem to do pretty small runs. They're also based in Kentucky, I see that's where you're located. I don't have any personal experience with them but I have only heard good things. Zick
What kind of music does your band play? I'm in Lexington...I might have to make it to a show
derek123
What kind of music does your band play? I'm in Lexington...I might have to make it to a show I'm not good at answering that question at all. Its aggressive, haha. I guess its Coliseum-esque with some fugazi sprinkled in there. I used to be in a band called Hollywood Handgrenade out of Paducah, KY, we played the lexington/louisville area quite a bit. If you've heard that, its along the same lines. cardiac
Musicol in Ohio will do runs of 100, although the setup costs (plating, etc) are the same, so you're looking at about a grand there. I did a 7" there two years ago and it came to about $700 all-in.
