imaminorthreat
I know someone had a thread going recently in regards to the shipping of booze, but I can't remember what thread it was. Anyway, my friend forgot a bottle of wine at my place and wants me to send it to him. What's the best way to go about this? I think I heard that you can't send booze through USPS... is that right? You have to fed ex it or somethin? Any info is greatly appreciated.
Dillhole
I work for FedEx Express and wineries ship booze all the time. You'll have to tell them what it is and in return it will have to have a Adult Signature at time of delivery. Which means the delivery guy just can't ring the bell and leave it, or your 12 year old kid can't sign for it. It has to be a 21 or older individual who lives at that residence. I don't know the charges off the top of my head as that's the part of the operation I deal with. I'm not sure what FedEx Grounds policies are, but I am 100% certain Express can ship alcohol. Even the local Budweiser brewery is always shipping out test packs of beer all around the country.
roadmonkey
I know that it is best to ship booze to the business of where the recipient works to avoid this adult signature thing... That is if they can get personal packages at work.
