codyoler
I've got an LP that is pretty much unplayable that I want to fix. What is the best way to do this? I've been reading about it but before I try I want to here some stories from people that have done it.

One Hundred Fifty-Two
I always start by searching one of the hundred threads about this exact topic. Then do the things in those threads. taylo234, alexschelldorf and littlebistro
codyoler
Might wanna specify what you're thinking of trying. Putting it between two pieces of glass and letting it sit in the sun or possibly in the oven. That seems to be the most common solution I could find with google but it seems like it's easy to make it worse.
clagstein
If it's unplayable, I find that once you flatten the fucker out (and I used the 2 bits of glass with some coins under my laptop trick), it will have inherent sound issues, and be pretty much fucked anyways. Maybe whinge to the seller, return and get your money back and try again?
seangj
^ I agree. Return it and try again.
kidamnesiac
If returning is not an option, I've had good success stacking a lot of heavy items on top of the LP inside its sleeve on top a table with some room underneath. Put a space heater underneath for a day or so. Make sure to give it several hours of cool down also. Tedious but worth it.

That way when you pull it out it is shaped like a bowl that you can eat cereal out of stokd and alexschelldorf
