littlebistro
I know everybody says "these are terrible for your records", but why? Disclaimer: I don't have a Crosley, I'm just curious.

Guest
my brother gave me a crosley that was left at his house after a party when he was in college. The original owner must’ve really hated that thing. At this point I was still using my dad’s old setup so I had no clue what a crosley was. I tried it out a few times and was severely disappointed with the sound quality. the only way I can describe it is to tell you to imagine that you are in a long, empty room with the record player on one end and you on the other. then, drop the vocals down a few notches after that. it’s hollow, empty, unfeeling, bland noise. I ended up just covering the thing in stickers and using it as a decoration. When I have friends over who don’t know any better they usually still get pretty excited over seeing a record player in a suitcase.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Is pluralizing incorrectly a vinyl thing?
3arl
Is pluralizing incorrectly a vinyl thing? I believe the plural of vinyl is vinylzz, but it's been a while since I've taken Latin.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
I'm referring to the thread title in this case. I believe the plural of vinyl is vinylzz, but it's been a while since I've taken Latin.
3arl
I'm referring to the thread title in this case. Gotcha. Maybe it's supposed to be a contraction. As in: "My Crosley's a piece of shit."

nivek87
SRC is now selling Crosleys on their website. i'm more entertained by the preorder for it and to "secure your preorder now" for a Oct. 1 release date.

saxonviolons
Damn. I am in need of a 3 speed TT and was checking out the Crosley's that are advertised on this site. Guess I'm gonna have to pass... Any suggestions for a good 3 speed TT under $200? The reviews for most of these things on Amazon is mundayne.
