vacumecleanerman
I have sealed mint copy of TOOL - aenima. The 1996 USA pressing. Send offers if you are interested. It's on the eBay for 266$. I'll go quite a bit cheaper than that. This is in near perfect condition. No dents or corner issues and sealed for your pleasure... I was lucky enough to come across this and am selling it to but some other records. I have 100% feedback and know how to ship safely. lateralundertow
I hate to burst your bubble.. but unless you bought this record in 1996, when it came out, I can almost assure you that it is a bootleg. Go ahead, open it up and see for yourself. It is more than likely a colored re-print that is UNOFFICIAL. Just by looking at the shrink wrap job done on that record in your listing I am sure its not legit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOOL-Aenima-LP-SEALED-BMG-ZOO-yummy-/251139537487?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item3a79153a4f#ht_500wt_1017
lateralundertow
All ZOO/BMG 2nd/B Pressing of Tool's Ænima are sealed in a different fashion than what is shown in this listing. Also, they ALL have a Parental Advisory sticker in the bottom right hand corner. Some B pressing Ænima copies also had a "TOOL ÆNIMA" sticker, centered just below the smokebox design on the cover. You also do not have 100% feedback on eBay. 97%. AAAAAAND someone has offered you money for this already and you dont know if its real. theshredhi
He'd have to open it to know its real, the horror! Personally Id rather you open it and take the 2LPs and ahip those and the gatefold in a plastic sleave if you have one. USPS fucks up sealed ones, open ones arrive better. I did research. Im not bidding so why am I even writing this.
vacumecleanerman
Yeah i just realized it's not an original from my investigations, o well, not a huge let down. It's still up for sale though if anyone is interested.
lateralundertow
So its either.. Green Yellow Orange/Smoke 2x Bootleg LP. What did you pay, seriously? How was it presented to you? Ask for a refund, since it is still sealed. Copy I came across not too long ago: Obviously not the real deal. I saw it sealed with a PA sticker so I bought it for $50 USD. Took it home and of course, opened it up and to my dismay.. Doesnt have printed inner sleeves like it should, just two sided inserts and white sleeves. Doesnt sound too good vs. my legit copy either. vacumecleanerman
I guess i should pay better attention. I didn't notice i had gotten a negative fedback. That sucks. Had he contacted me before saying that i would have refunded his money or soemthing. I'm gonna contact him now if i can still fix that. I got ahead of myself. Sorry for the mix up ya'll. Honest mistake. I'll fix what i can untill this other guys offer expires on eBay. Sorry again.
vacumecleanerman
I did the same thing as you. Bought it for 50 and got it listed... I'm glad i found out, didn't really think otherwise... I bought a few other peices of vinyl thinking ithis was worth somehting. I'm gonna open it up when i get home and give it a listen, if it doesnt sound too good i'll just sell it and pay for my other purchases, i hate crappy sounding vinyl, ruins the whole point. It was on the shelf as with a sticker that said "Import" I'm not mad, the guy was cool and hooked me up on some other stuff. I'm into a lot of stuff. I got Sixto Rodriguez for 18 bucks which is apretty good deal, and Pink Floyd Momentary lapse of reason for 5$ in real good condition. And a Primus bootleg from 1995 for 7$ shich is pretty decent for being from 1995. I had to bail my now ex girlfriend out of jail so i didn't wanna spend any money at the record store (Like that could happen). I may have to sell my NOFX theyve actrually gotten worse live colored version to cover my costs on the credit card. We'll see. That arse hole on eBay never asked me for a return or anything! ANybody know what i can do? Can i open a case? Anybody have this happen to them? Usually people will contact me first.

gcarn
Just curious, what made you think it was original?
piecemeal
I saw a bunch of sealed import Aenimas at Amoeba the other day, I think it was $35 a piece. Weird how legit places can sell these with no issues. Why the hell hasn't this been reissued?
lateralundertow
Why the hell hasn't this been reissued? Because Tool.

piecemeal
I mean they did put out the Lateralus pic disc and are continuing to press Undertow and Opiate. Seems silly to me.
lateralundertow
Agreed, but there has to be a reason behind it. No 10,000 Days vinyl, officially, which is extremely disappointing as well.
theshredhi
Off topic: I saw tool when I was 13, it was my 5th show ever and they used to have these festivals in Hawaii that were amazing. They stopped em about 12-15 years ago. But here's Tool playing Hawaii at Noon with Layne Staley, Tool played, then Primus, then Stone Temple Pilots, then Fishbone, then Violent Femmes(I think that was the order). I was goin nuts. easier to crowd surf and not get hurt when ur 80 pounds...
lateralundertow
Ah, to have been that young during Tool's emergence... daydream frequently.
theshredhi
All the bands were staying at the same hotel as us too, but as a 13 yr old I was to scared to ask to shoot up with them. Nah.But surprisingly STP was really fucking good. The whole line-up killed. The year after was NOFX, Porno for Pyros, Blind Melon(right before Shannon Hoon died), and Social Distortion. The year after Tool was supposed to play again, but cancelled for some reason. It was a punk one and Tool was gonna close, Rancid, Down By Law, Face to Face, and Guttermouth all played and Tool was gonna close, instead every band mocked them and Fletcher said he was beat up Maynard when he sees em in LA. Rancid was great tho. Wish we still had cool fests like that. Now I gotta fly to LA to go to one. Lame.
