toomany45s
Got my shipping notice for the Sammy Kay LP. Stoked to get this! How was the SHJ Show? I'd love to see them again, it's been at least 15 years!
toomany45s
Keepin' that ska thread bumped. I'm gonna play a few ska records on my vaughn channel for a couple hours before heading out for Halloween festivities, swing by and listen to some ska! http://vaughnlive.tv/theotherguys
mclz
Got my shipping notice for the Sammy Kay LP. Stoked to get this! How was the SHJ Show? I'd love to see them again, it's been at least 15 years! It was a great show. The Snails were fantastic. I've only just heard 1 song by them before the show. They play a mixture of reggae and 50s r'n'r. It's awesome.
rudeboydh
Bumpin' this to ask: What was your favorite ska album of 2013? Mine's gotta be the Sammy Kay record. Does anybody have a list anywhere of all the notable ska albums that came out this year?
Team Avatar
I used to be in knightsbridgefiasco.bandcamp.com and had a huge ska phase till a few years ago. Some of my favorites: all Westbound Train ( one of my favorite live bands ) all RX Bandits if they count Slow Gherkin - Shed Some Skin
toomany45s
The Sammy Kay record is great, but I listen to the new debonaires quite a bit as well. As far as new ska goes, didn't get too much this year, but the Japanese are hitting the streets hard with some great 7" represses, and I've been picking a lot of those up. Unrelated note: Jump up records extended their black friday sale, 10LPs, 50 bucks shipped: http://jumpuprecords.com/blog/blackfridaysales/
rudeboydh
Oh yeah, I really dig the new Debonaires record as well. By the Rivers s/t is also really great and the Slackers Bed Is a Boat ep is too.

Skaiswaycool
I recently released a DIY ska punk album (with a little trad ska in there too). It's available for free download, as is another traditional ska album I released last year. Check it out and let me know what you think! https://seanarawjo.bandcamp.com/
