sinisterkidd
2215b im pretty sure, so do i just stick like a nail in there and tap it with a hammer and see if it falls out or what?
ajxd
Yes. Careful with a nail since it has a point. That's why I mentioned using the drill bit.
thebiglebowski
Ajxd, what about the rubber band trick with a carefully selected drill bit and a drill on low power from the front? I'm just wondering if you got that thing rotating a little and overcame static friction if it would slide out with the drill bit.
ajxd
The rubber band will be too thick for the hole in the RCA connection. That's why using a very small drill bit and a hammer to tap it out it the best option. Drilling with a drill is hard enough... one shakey hand and you've ruined the RCA port... Which find replacements for those is tough. Though do able.
sinisterkidd
so it would not tap out... im gunna take it in somewhere tomorrow. Hopefully its not too expensive. Prolly gunna get it cleaned or something too. Any idea how much something like this would run?
ajxd
I charged $45/hr, but that was 2007 when I last did that kind of work. It's an hour to hour and a half job.
