amnstypls
Calllng these "first","second" and "third" pressings is technically not correct - its just the order in which they were put up as a preorder on the store. So there's two silver variants in the first press?
markok
So there's two silver variants in the first press? As I understand, the first silver one is a double LP (EU press) and the second one is an single LP (US press). The US one is technically not first press since its been released after the initial release date.
amnstypls
Ok.... so, if it's "technically not correct" to call it a second press, but it's also "technically not first press" then how should I technically refer to it?
markok
Second press, because it IS a second press - released/pressed after the official release date.

markok
Fuck. Really? Look at the Converge threads to get a clue. Im sure dozen of people in this very forum are flipping some of these Carcass variants on ebay as "first pressings".
amnstypls
Jesus Christ. Who cares Only trying to point out the irony here. Dude just told me that it's wrong to call it a second press, then three replies later told me it's a second press. Comedy.

I do not know the details of all the variants, but I was not referring to the silver variant per se in my first post at all, but to the variants in that big quoted list in general which are actually mostly (if not all?) first presses, not second or even third!? presses.
