bandit614
I can get one with a wood case for $140 local in pretty awesome shape. Is it worth it? Would it be better than my mid 90s Sony receiver. Any known issues?
derkwithano
I switched from a Sony to a Marantz and I'm very happy. circuit bored records
bandit614
I'm just worried that since it's lower watts it might not be as nice sounding? But a 20watt Marantz probably sounds better than a 50w Sony bought from Sears in 1996..right?
rochambo
Yes, buy it. I had the same one (sans wood case) before I upgraded to a McIntosh. circuit bored records
streetwaves
If everything is working---that's a great price. I paid $200 without case. I have a 2220B paired with AR-2ax speakers and I love the warm sound. I live in a NYC apartment so volume is an issue. But what I extract from the combo is more than enough. moodydan
I've got a box for a 2220b (none of the original packing material, just the original box), if you'd be interested in that for some reason. PM me if you want it!
