museummouth
I just got a Debut Carbon and set it all up and it plays great but when I touch the tonearm, near the cartridge, to lift it, it hums/buzzes. It never does that while playing though. Any ideas whats going on?
randomfortunepa
How long have you had the Carbon? There was a large amount with internal grounding issues with one of the batches. I purchased mine around December and had to return it for a new one, because there was a grounding issue underneath the plinth. It could also be the wires feeding into the cartridge are loose. Check the your full setup and assure everything is properly grounded. Also verify that your outlets are grounded. dreamwolf

chrisapple
Glad to hear you finally got your Carbon after all the bullshit you went through. Did you ground your table? The grounding cable is attached to the supplied RCA cable.

ruckis
I don't know much about electricity or grounding, but I had a crazy clicking sound on my old turntable that I COULD NOT figure out. I switched to a different socket and it never did it again. Simple fix for something I thought was going to be the end of me.
