kriss
Found this in a 50 cent bin earlier today and figured it was worth a try - rewarded with totally blissed out shoegaze fuzz!

kriss
Saw this tonight at HT for $3 on clearance and idreamofpunk informed me it was Blake from Jawbreaker/Jets To Brazil's latest project - don't regret it at all, super solid stuff! kriss
Found this 7" in the dollar bins the other day and liked the description ("disjointed fuzz sounding like a slow Nirvana") and have been giving it alot of play since - really great lazy 90's fuzz pop stuff. Couldn't find a picture of the sleeve online anywhere (with a name like Welcome, searching is practically impossible) so I took a crappy iPhone one. kriss
The Black Belles: What Can I Do? b/w Lies been listening to this almost daily since getting it in the mail - solid single with gritty crunchy garage overtones and quirky synth running underneath. kriss
or more accurately, I'm watching it. The record comes with a DVD that has 3 different visual versions of the songs. Have one of them playing on my other monitor as I work.

kriss
(picture plucked from an eBay listing as I couldn't find a photo elsewhere). Monaural: Rhodes/Harmonic From what I've read, the dudes behind this were taking their inspiration from British shoegaze and while I can certainly hear that to an extent, the sound of it tends to borrow more from the motorik sounds of Neu! and many of the 70's kraut bands while mixing with some of the early 90's drone influenced stuff that was on Warp. Great stuff.

kriss
Sounds like a way dreamier Lush with lots of shoegaze feedback. One of the dudes was in His Name Is Alive and oddly enough, The Detroit Cobras.

rab75
Saw these guys on Saturday night and although I am not a huge fan I was blown away by their entusiasm. The album is growing on me but I am more looking forward to The Bronx IV next year.
