Algernon Doll - Omphalic PO July 2014
xxstefanxx replied to xxstefanxx's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
sure you did -
i think people should listen to this http://algernondoll.bandcamp.com/ Vinyl PO here: http://struggletown.limitedrun.com/products/528698-algernon-doll-omphalic-lp-preorder 125 Pale Green 125 Pale Yellow Info: "Omphalic sees Algernon Doll break out from his one man band persona as he continues to hone and perfect an alternative guitar sound that harks back to a sound reminiscent of early 90’s grunge. At just 24 years old, Ewan Grant is carving out a place in the hearts and minds of fans and critics alike and has already released two critically acclaimed albums, Camomile and Citalo-pop, that has seen him compared to the likes of Elliott Smith. On Omphalic Algernon Doll really cuts loose and pulls on influences ranging from Nirvana and the Smashing Pumpkins to The Jesus Lizard and Mudhoney to produce an up-tempo, driven rock album that is both rich in its abrasive qualities as well as creating memorable hooks and choruses that are willingly addictive. Omphalic was mastered by Bob Weston of the mighty Shellac, who has production credits on a host of classic records such as Nirvana’s In-Utero, Shipping News, Missions of Burma, Chavez, June of 44, Rachel’s and LCD Soundsystem." PO Three Man Cannon - Pretty Many People
xxstefanxx replied to dantheriver's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
the label just sent out the download links for the record. I would say after a first listening session: Wonderful classic 90s Indie Rock. Anyone remember bands like SILVER SCOOTER? I like what i hear a lot. -
"This one time, at Bandcamp..."
xxstefanxx replied to thedannychang's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Could be big some day. I don`t like the production very much but the two songs are good enough to make me order the 7". https://bobrecords.bandcamp.com/album/people-in-cars-s-t-7 -
oh, so a black version of that record actually exists? Did it ever appear on Ebay or Discogs? ....... i found one here: http://www.popsike.com/SUN-KIL-MOON-AMONG-THE-LEAVES-2LP-Kozelek-Red-House-Painters-Black-Vinyl/121311214099.html

[PO] Yo La Tengo - Fakebook (reissue) - Out 5.13
xxstefanxx replied to radiatorhums's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
this is one of the few YLT records i am missing in my collection. Will order when it hits the german stores. -
lets look back at the pressing numbers of APRIL and AFP, both over 2000 pressed. At a time when the vinyl revival wasn`t that big as it is now. So it makes no sense to press 1/10 of that amount for a record so many people are waiting for. Also i can remember that Kozelek got special tour pressings with him back in the days. It all stopped for no logical reason.
-
for the euro folks it was almost impossible to snag one today. We have a celebration day so everybody is still sleeping.
-
Sold out after 12 hours or so. Respect. Many People will be pissed in the next days and weeks to come. And i am affraid next time a caldoverde release goes up and i am not gonna be online for a day or so. I am gonna miss it for sure.

glad i woke up early and saw this here. Ordered my copy of course.
