I like mortal kombat... But I love Soul Calibur!
-
Solid thing to do OP, I'm in if there aren't 20 yet.
This place has helped me build I would say 85-90% of my collection. Got my hands on things I didn't ever expect to, I love this place
-
Well if we do I could ship them out for fairly cheap to all the others from my work. I'm in fo sho
-
I'm personally stoked for this, I'm not certain I can afford it unless someone in the US wants to combine shipping. It's like $43 ppd to the US but the album itself is oy 11£. Starting this thread mainly to find someone to help a brotha out. Enjoy!

Secret Band is basically DGD without a singer. Will, Jon, and more of the original members I can't name at the moment for lack of memory.
Weird, I haven't seen anyone's name attached to this besides Mess'. Which is silly cause Will Swan is a much more recognizable name to even non-hardcore DGD fans like myself. Also, these dudes have made plenty of money off their fans throughout their careers. If they choose to do a side project (that probably takes up 0% of their free time) it's their own prerogative and don't gain any of my sympathy.
-
Pretty sure the guitarist of this band owns the label that is putting this out. So, yes.
Is Jon Mess part owner with Will of Blue Swan? Or is Will in Secret Band and just not announced as much as Mess? I'm confused
-
Doubtful.
I'm not sure they'll ever sell out at this price, I'll snag one if they come through with Stolas/Hail the Sun. They love us here in San Antonio so I'm sure we will see them eventually and I'm sure it'll be straight up baller.
-
There is no fucking way I will spend 31 shipped on a 4 track 10 inch... They only charged 20 for the Stolas vinyl, this is absolutely shameless price gouging and taking advantage of those of us who actually give a shit enough to even know about this band or what Jon Mess is now doing... If this is a 8-10 track full length I have no problem paying 31, but I'll gladly save my 31 here and put it towards the 45 dollar repress of Amputechture on SRC. Everyone attached to this should be ashamed of themselves for agreeing to fuck your fans and charge 25 for this, ashamed.
-
I know I can wait till after to buy, but in seriously considering driving the 25 mins to the only HT that has one around me to snag it.
-
least variant has less than 100 now? i hope there's some come payday
Yeah, 80 or so of the yellow and 475 of the blue left, already sold almost 1000. It might sell out once peoples wallets recover from RSD this year.
-
Hells yeah! Best Finch album!
Theres already a thread for this SRC. COME ON!
Easily my favorite Finch album!
Does anyone else find it weird that a bunch off people just come into this thread to say that they dont like this band/release?
People are the worst...
Exactly how I feel, SRC releases have been solid so far. I have no problem paying 10 extra bones to ensure quality. Now that I have this all I really truly NEED to have pressed is all of the He is Legend shit and I'm fucking done with my hopefuls.PO'd the yellow. I absolutely love this album and don't have a problem paying this much for such a fantastic record I've been wishing I had for quite sometime now.
-
If you are referring to me, my apologies. This guy is a piece of work. I can provide emails via discogs. Just looking out for VC.
No, bro. Not you at all, I was totally referring to his generally douchey prices
-
Went ahead and snagged a regular joe vinyl even though it's still limited to only 300. No problem with the price either personally, yeah it sucks that it's 30, but I'll pay 30 ppd for a record and digital download 2 weeks early for a band I love all day.

My boot sounds way better than the OG pressing, so in that sense I'm perfectly okay with my purchase. And my boot was actually just as expensive (if not cheaper) than this but I bought it from over seas so shipping nipped any of that in the butt. My boot is gatefold with awesome inner sleeves and it sounds great. I'm guessing this MOV pressing will be awesome, and I'm so close to pulling the trigger on it and being the judge for myself and just getting rid of the less superior. Decisions, decisions.
-
I'm not sure if I'm mad I bought the boot or not.... Maybe I am.. Ugh
-
That is easily the most reasonably priced kickstarter I've ever seen. Props for that, as for actually contributing I'll have to dig around and see what I can find of these guys. Conceptually it sounds neat, hope everything works out well.

Check out the waiting room in Omaha or really anything in the Benson area of Omaha. Great city that loves their beer and music

Pretty sure there will be more when actual preorders go up. This is a crowdfunding campaign after all. It's not much different than when bands offers bundles for exclusive variants. In this case, the variant is an alternate artwork limited to like /200.
You get the signed LP with alternate artwork, a signed CD, a bunch of DLs, t-shirt, thank you note thing, I think a signed album art print? Maybe other stuff. And shipping is included.
Copeland wants $95 for a variant, a 10", and a CD. Meh. I think there was a print in there too. And you have to pay shipping.
Not trying to say you should get it, it's just not as bad as it sounds.
I really wish I could justify dropping the 100, but I just can't. I fucking love this band, but I don't see them selling the other 174 or 224 all at the $100 price point. Like you said before, I'm sure there will be some sort of normal PO eventually. But had they just given me a digital/vinyl option for the 30-45ppd range i would have been in in a heart beat. If they really wanted to make cash they could just do a vinyl only option for 25-30 shipped in a pressing of 500 and they'd sell out in a heart beat and fund almost a quarter of their asking funded amount. I understand the concept of a crowdfund is to act as a donation system with "perks" attached to each tier... But to me it seems like more often than not most bands are bleeding their loyal fans to death. Obviously, these kinda things irk me. This one especially does...

Ok here is the link. Hope it works ok. I'm definitely digging this song more than anything they have put out with the last few albums. Devin is a beast.
Thanks, dearest. I have serious mixed feelings about this track. It's obviously not mixed or mastered properly, the levels are fucked and devin kinda sounds like he was just thrown in as a half assed after thought. I do like it, and I didn't hear the word "Jesus" or "god" in the whole track so that's a solid start for me
-
Been jamming this in headphones constantly at work the last few days and I'll say, I like it much more today than yesterday. An incredibly well structured album, they did a great job not over doing it and adding songs that don't fit just to extend the track list. Everything fits beautifully. But I don't believe I personally like it as much as Wildlife, just doesn't have tracks like Edward Benz/King Park that give me goosebumps. I know this album will continually grow on me and will most likely be an AOTY contender. But really stoked to get this in and spin it, probably pick up a tour variant also in ATX on the 23rd too. Easily my most anticipated show so far of this year, PBTT and La in the same night... Beyond pumped.

Why have I not received mine yet
-
Now let me clarify... Mark Cuban has attached his name to this, so automatically I must hate it. But for serious, I'm 100% guessing this is a marketing ploy. Maybe Back to the Future 4 or something along those lines.
