  1. I will try to get all the pressing info updated tomorrow. About that AJJ record, there are 500 white that went to us, and 500 orange that went to Hot Topic. Dunno why they listed blue, but it doesn't exist.
  2. We do it all the time. As to whether it's worth it or not to you, well I guess that's up to you.
  3. Yeah, boo hoo. Sorry it's not all laid out on a platter for you. We have been selling them online for what, two months now? Surely you knew they existed. You also are probably aware that when it comes to release schedules, distributors are slow. Hmm, I wonder what you could have done about that... To wit, Hot Topic didn't feel like contacting us directly was beneath them, and as a result we worked it out so that they could get them from Lumberjack before the official street date.
  4. This Sunday, for real. Also you better come pick up your Broadways records or I am going to sell that shit on Ebay faster than you can sell a Goddamnit test press.
  5. There is a buyer at Hot Topic who is a long-time friend of Mike's and asked him if we would do exclusive colors for them. They paid for them upfront, they never return anything, and unlike every other chain left in existence (including Best Buy, Amoeba, FYE) they do not ask for a dime in "product placement" in exchange for carrying our stuff on their shelves. They're also carrying Lemuria and Andrew Jackson Jihad LPs, because the buyer is a fan. I have nothing bad to say about Hot Topic or its business practices. I admit I don't entirely relate to the kid that goes in to buy a Goddamnit LP, the newest issue of Dudes In Their Underwear magazine, and oh I dunno, a dog collar or something. Certainly I hope the music we release will remain relevant longer than current teenage fashion sensibilities. But Hot Topic has always been nice to us, always paid us on time, and has helped us out with several non-Alk Trio releases. I appreciate the fact that independent retail is being killed by a lot of things. I disagree that Hot Topic is doing more damage than, say, the internet. initrecords, have you ever tried contact us about getting records, or do you just post rants on message boards? We are easy to get in touch with: you can email me at [email protected], Mike at [email protected], or call us at 408-395-0662. Support is a two way street, you know? We try to help small stores because as a small business, we benefit from them supporting us, ordering our releases, and helping to get the word out.
  6. You bet! But it'll all be in pennies, and you have to pay postage.
  7. Hi guys. No offense, but I'd really rather not discuss the reason the song wasn't included on the LP for the time being. I will say that it had nothing to do with licensing or time restrictions.
  8. The vinyl actually does have a few flecks of red in it. Not exactly the white/red swirl that we ordered, but color mixing is not perfect, and that's kind of the risk we take when we put up pre-orders. Also, you can't tell from Virgil's picture, but the Jihad vinyl is a deep blue/black swirl that looks just awesome. You're wrong, I say! JUST AWESOME.
  9. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I'm tired just thinking about it.
  10. Shoot... not this week. Maybe next Tuesday?
  11. We started shipping yesterday, and got through about 2/3 of the pre-orders. We're closed today. Everything else should go out tomorrow. The red/orange ended up being mostly red, and the black/white is almost completely black. Not really how I thought it would look, but overall I think the whole thing turned out pretty great.
  12. Right now they are all boxed up and sitting in my car. I'll try to get some pictures, but Virgil will probably beat me to it.
  13. Actually, the jacket artwork is slightly different. The repress also includes an insert that the original did not.
  14. They showed up at Asian Man today, and we shipped Virgil's out to him this morning.
  15. MICF is pretty much going to be a straight repress, with no major changes in the art and no remixing or remastering. The S/T album has never been released on vinyl, and will have slightly different artwork from the CD. I like the orange/black swirl idea.
  16. You can always return them for new copies: http://www.asianmanrecords.com/ALK3returnform.pdf
  17. andrew13: I ain't never heard of no know how. patatfat: There's a bunch of accounting that you are welcome to. In fact, I am going to put your name on it right now, so hurry it up, will you? We have royalties to pay.
  18. For what it's worth, we really have no idea how fast any of this stuff will sell, and we certainly didn't think it would sell out overnight. It is extremely expensive to press 3000 records (around $10,000), and we don't want to get stuck with a ton of records that nobody wants. We'll keep repressing it as long as people keep buying it.
  19. I just talked to Rainbo this morning. They expect to be able to ship everything in about 10 days, which means we'll probably have them in two weeks or so.
  20. Great label run by an awesome guy. I am a big fan of Blew.
  21. Hey, we are usually gone by 6pm, but you can call as late as you want and leave a message. We hate working and probably won't be there tomorrow, but you'll get a call back on Friday. Also, the Broken Van CD will eventually be repressed with slightly different artwork, and will also be released on vinyl in the fall.
  22. You can go ahead and start sending them in now. Please make sure you include the return form. Time frame is about 8 weeks.
