  1. Thanks so much - I've been wanting this for awhile
  2. i was watching turn on the bright lights, but it's far out of my range at this point
  3. lots of stuff I want - check your PM
  4. I've never had 2 copies of the same record in different weights - do heavier copies sound better or are they made heavier for durability reasons?
  5. not to hijack the thread, but can anyone hear a difference between the various weights? I've never had the same record on 2 different weights - so I can't comment.
  6. I'm interested in buying any local H 7s or 12s except for the split. If you'd rather trade, My list can be seen here: http://www.recordnerd.com/lists/rhythmgtr5
  7. I REALLY want in utero. I thought it was pressed on white as well?
  8. i'm interested in Full collapse. see if there is anything on my list that you want: http://www.recordnerd.com/lists/rhythmgtr5 I'll be updating it again later tonight w/ more. If nothing on there sparks your interest, maybe I could buy it off you.
  9. can anyone explain how the ordering went for the UTB release? How were the /50 purple ones sold? Was it a set time like 6pm on a certain date they went on sale or?
  10. Can you buy directly off that site or how does it worK?
  11. correct, there are no grooves near the edge - about 80% of it is smooth. The release is Local H / The blank theory - split. It was put out by four alarm records
  12. Here's a total n00b question - so bear w/ me. I got my first picture disc 7" and I noticed that the actual track (grooves in the record) extends only 1 inch from the center. My other 7's have the track extending to the edge of the record. The song is 4:15 long, so I'd think that it would take up more space than that. My question: Is this normal for picture discs? I assume it will sound shitty since it's confined to such a small space - am I right? (my player isnt set up right now).
  13. http://search.ebay.com/ws/search/SaleSearch?sofocus=bs&satitle=&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC5&fbd=1&dfsp=32&catref=C5&nojspr=y&from=R6&nojspr=y&pfid=0&fswc=1&few=&saprclo=&saprchi=&fss=1&saslop=1&sasl=Dubmaverick&fls=4%26floc%3D1&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D0&salic=1&saatc=1&sadis=200&fpos=55423&fsct=&sacur=0&sacqyop=ge&sacqy=&sabfmts=0&saobfmts=exsif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&sabdlo=&sabdhi=&saaff=afdefault&afepn=&customid=&afmp=&fsop=32%26fsoo%3D2&fcl=3&frpp=50 it looks like he just has a bunch of limited / rare vinyl for sale? Is there a date on the STD or thrice release?
  14. I really want that bronx LP but can't spend the money right now Is there any chance either S/T will get repressed?
  15. the ptm splatter does look pretty sweet. Can't wait to give it a spin
  16. Does the artist get the same cut from selling vinyl as they would from a cd? I ask because pressing a record costs a lot more, yet you're still able to get something like the new AWS on vinyl for $10 shipped.
  17. I'm interested in the hives / interpol records - what are the prices?
  18. Would anyone advise me against going for the free shipping option or is it pretty reliable?
  19. I'm wondering how rare is Full Collapse? I don't really care about the color / pressing - I just want a copy. This is the only one I've seen on ebay lately and it's going for $46 http://cgi.ebay.com/Thursday-Full-Collapse-Lp-Rare-Color-Vinyl_W0QQitemZ190217028717QQihZ009QQcategoryZ306QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. These are the 2 reasons I'm trying to start a record collection. It's slow going.
