I had a feeling my selections would be a bit different, but I'm pretty surprised to see just how different - it makes me actually quite optimistic that there is a whole lot of loveable music I still need to hear.
The Clash - London Calling (1979)
Tom Waits - Closing Time (1973)
Elvis Costello - My Aim Is True (1977)
Van Morrison - Astral Weeks (1968)
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (2002)
Hayden - Everything I Long For (1995)
Big Star - #1 Record (1972)
Paul Westerberg - Stereo/Mono (2002)
Wheat - Hope and Adams (1999)
Josh Ritter - The Animal Years (2006)
I had to cut a few at the last minute but I really didn't want to (The Wrens - The Meadowlands and Fleetwood Mac - Rumours).
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot!

Spiderland is a god damn masterpiece.
I want to hang out out with so many people in this thread.
-
Sweet, I always wanted to start this kinda thread. I think it's weird that we don't discuss music on a hugely broad scale like this all that often.
1. Jim O'Rourke - Eureka
2. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
3. Radiohead - Kid A
4. Gastr del Sol - Camoufleur
5. Have A Nice Life - Deathconsciousness
6. Björk - Post
7. DJ Shadow - Endtroducing.....
8. Slint - Spiderland
9. The Cure - Disintegration
10. Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
Does anyone here use Topsters for this stuff? http://top50.topsters.net/

Still bumping.

Christ this shit makes me sick.
Is there a relief fund set up yet?

Looks as though the corners are rounded off. Pretty sure the OG wasn't rounded like that. Just straight corners.
19 years of being sealed would bend corners. The very 1990's shrink wrap and sleeve texture visible definitely imply an original.

Anyone have or know anything about this Lateralus? http://www.discogs.com/Tool-Lateralus/release/7614474
That one's news to me.

I have the green repress of you'd prefer an astronaut if interested. Let me know.

Good luck on the Duster stuff. One of my favorite bands ever.
Ugh! I've seen your Duster stuff in the "Post your collection" thread before, too. You're a lucky dude.

Been waiting so long for this. One of my favorite shows ever.
I think it's time you brought Orpheus back.
-
Sold out at 1:08 PST on the milky clear variant. Fast.
PayPal receipt in my inbox at 1:07 PST.
I want that on my tombstone.
-
Ordered mint on clear for keeps and black for listening. I usually can't justify variant collecting unless I really love the album. And I do.
-
Planning on pre-ordering Friday, then freezing myself until December. See you guys on the other side.
-
All dully noted.
I'll probably price original copies for the time being. Sadface.

So I keep reading nothing but terrible things about 4MWB. I own their Scott Walker reissues, and I actually thought they sounded pretty good, and the packaging is really nice.
I need to pick up these 70's Miles Davis albums, especially Agharta and Pangea, and I'm leaning towards the 4MWB pressings simply because they're the only recent issues that use the original Japanese art. Am I gonna be disappointed? Probably?
Thanks.
