I'm super excited to get my vinyl copy....it shipped yesterday.
I have listened to this about 4 times today, I really like it, sounds like its somewhere in between older Typhoon stuff and Kyle's solo stuff.

I moved everything into the basement and finally got around to putting everything up. I just have to find a new lounge chair to replace the desk and I'm done for a while.

Okay, thanks for answering. I was hoping someone else made that size. I need another large storage piece but I won't be able to move anything larger than that size out of my basement. I bought one on clearance after they were discontinued. Then I learned why they were discontinued while I was assembling it.
Yeah I have had two Expedits and one Kallax from Ikea and they are certainly a step up in quality from the Walmart one. The 3x4 was just the sweet spot for the amount of records I have, and the finish was a nice change from the standard brown I always had from Ikea.

Did you get your 3x4 cube set at Walmart?
Yeah, it's the Better Homes and Gardens version from Walmart.

I haven't changed much with the set up recently other than location. Moved into our newly refinished basement, the location is really hurting the sound, low ceiling and wide open on just one side of the listening area has made the sound thin and treble heavy. Need to look into acoustics to rectify it.

Bullmoose lists Satellites as a 45rpm set, any other details out there about who mastered it etc?

This is the first I have heard of him. Listened to album twice today, really digging it, has a very Social D cowpunk vibe!

And.............. now it's March 3rd.

This is up for pre-order on Amazon.com for $24.99 with free shipping for prime members, no mention of the color so I would assume its the standard black.
-
This is now live for non VIP members as well,

I just got an email from Amazon that Fever is now pushed back to February 10th
-
Yeah at $38 shipped from Newbury or $31 shipped from the Shins store, I'll wait for Amazon to list it

Pretty sure that August reissue isn't terribly hard to find. I just bought it this fall. I paid $49 for it. But it is amazingly well done. But yeah, point still stands, real weird they haven't done any other represses.
Yeah your right, it is pretty easy to find now. Shortly after it first came out it was difficult to find for a while and it was going for $80+ on discogs. Not sure if they stopped pressing it for a while or it was just the first batch sold quick. Not sure why they wouldn't want to put the other stuff out, just let a reputable label like AP produce it. i realize it isn't huge money for the band but I would think Satellites and Desert Life have a big enough draw to net the band $30-40K

Recovering Satalites is better
I'm surprised most of the Counting Crows stuff hasn't gotten a reissue. August was re-issued by Analog Productions it was a pretty remarkable 45rpm pressing that sold out quick. Satellites goes for $150 and Desert Life is pushing $300 for the only pressings available.

I'm guessing the SRC Variant is delayed? It was supposed to ship on the 25th and I haven't gotten an email or anything about this. Anybody get a shipping notice?
**Looks like the website now says December 9th

Have people in the US who ordered from Amazon UK been getting their shipments yet?
I got mine yesterday

Can anyone comment on the sound quality of the standard black? There are a ton of comments on Discogs saying the white version sounds pretty bad.

I just signed up today, mostly for Rogue Wave's Descended Like Vultures and Nada Surf's High/low. When do the announce June's AotM? Not familiar with the process.

Margot & the Nuclear So and So's - Not Animal
Found a good deal on this hard to find record and finally pulled the trigger on it
Father John Misty - I Love You Honeybear
Just a great album, can't stop listening to this album

The most I have paid for a non-box set was $83 for Margot & the Nuclear So and So's - Not Animal

Something to Write Home About is the first record I ever bought. It was my favorite album at the time and I didn't even know they still made records. I saw it in a music store in Salt Lake City and just bought it to hang on my wall in my dorm. I think this album has aged very well too, unlike a lot of the other stuff from the genre that I loved at the time.

Pre-ordered this, there is a lot of good stuff coming out of Philly right now,I picked up this, Beach Slang, and Hop Along in the last couple of weeks.
