  1. That shipping hurts my soul. As good as this is probably going to be, I don't know if I can justify 31 dollars for 10 songs. Hopefully there'll be a retail version on Amazon or something.
  2. That album was an awesome debut! I have to say, make yourself sick is their gem in my opinion though. Not a bad song on it, jam after jam.
  3. New Song "Of Waves" Pre-order Here Boys Night Out has signed with GoodFightEntertainment and will be releasing a new 10"/EP titled Black Dogs this spring. More info and preorder date to come "On hiatus for almost a decade now, Boys Night Out returns in 2016 with a new EP, Black Dogs, coming soon on Good Fight. Good Fight owner Carl Severson gives this statement: "Boys Night Out were some of the most creative, passionate, and honest musicians I ever worked with. They just wanted to write and play and have fun, and they stopped when it didn't feel right anymore. I always respected that. They wrote this new EP, Black Dogs, because years later it felt right again, and I'm honored we're able to be a part of their music again." Guitarist Jeff Davis offers this hint about the new material: "The title Black Dogs is a metaphor for pain, addiction, depression. It follows a concept that those negative aspects of the psyche are separate from the individual, and are carried around as an external being or unwanted friend– a black dog." The EP was engineered and mixed by Derek Hoffman (Seaway, Stick to Your Guns) at Fox Sounds in Toronto, and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Brand New) at West West Side. Stand by for more details about Boys Night Out and Good Fight Music's release of Black Dogs."
  4. I got you bud. Was hoping to snag a pair to give to my lady for Christmas. Would have made the trip up to Boston or down to NY. That's 7 possible shows and I still got nothing. It would make me prove I'm not a robot over and over even though I was doing it correctly. Then I kept getting bad gateway pages. Oh well, at least enough people got tickets to have them on stubhub for 300+ at 11am
  5. So the mockup from late November wasn't final product? What's the deal with the YouTube vid with black cassette then? Trolling ?
  6. There were black ones /50 says someone a few pages back. YouTube vid a few more pages back
  7. Guilty of downloading the demos when they first leaked. Snagged this in time thankfully. Anyone that managed to get a black copy somehow, listen to see if there's a hidden track or something? Brand new being sneaky like they are and a lot of cool bands had hidden tracks at the end of their cassettes. Ever since I heard the stupid hidden song at the end of green days dookie, looking for hidden tracks was routine for me when haha Jason Tate's comments on Twitter lead me to believe they will be either mastered / reworked or there might be a surprise in there somewhere @jason_tate: RE cassette: pick one up if you like the songs, the band never got $ when they leaked and this is how you can. You’ll like what you hear. Then someone asked if they would be remastered, to which he replied @jason_tate: I think fans will be happy. Can’t really say more ATM.
  8. Has anyone heard anything about the replacement discs for those who got doubles? I got an email asking for my order number on Halloween and I responded that day. Haven't heard anything since though
  9. When you guys are done, can I get some thoughts on this track too?
  10. This song threw me off first listen also. I have to admit, it's not so bad now, and that's not because my gf has made me listen to this record a million times already. Have to give her credit for trying something a little different, while I agree it doesn't work to its full potential, it's a nice break from what is otherwise a ballad heavy album.
  11. Agreed. Vocals seem a little improved since kingfisher. Their instrumentals is what always gets me though. Anyways this full, lush sound. Their clean guitar tones always sound amazing too. The album Ships is what made me buy a telecaster haha
  12. Over at New Damage Records you can preorder the debut full length from the Canadian punk group Youth Decay out November 20th. Featuring members of Comeback Kid and ex Living With Lions, the band pulls off a very solid effort. check em out, they deserve the buzz! The 12" Slate vinyl is limited to 200 and can be preordered here: http://newdamagerecords.myshopify.com/products/youth-decay-the-partys-over The album can be streamed in its entirety on altpress: http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/youth_decay_comeback_kid_living_with_lions_more_resurrect_punk_on_the_party
  13. Doesn't always work. My cat is pretty neutral when it comes to water. When your spray her she just puts her head and her ears down till your done then sits there and wipes her head off with her paws. To stay on topic though, I would say getting a cat isn't any worse for your records than getting a puppy. Dogs love to please though where cats could care less, which makes setting rules and verbal demands/behavior corrections easier but I mean if your giving any pet proper care, attention, training and some kind of primal instinct stimulation through playing or whatever they should be fine
  14. Cat hair has never been a problem for me. My dust cover is always on and brushing the cat helps a little. The problem I continue to have is my cat enjoys biting plastic. So after I bought bags of plastic covers and covered allllllll my records, my cat decided it would be cool to pull records half out of the shelf by the plastic and put little teeth marks on the cardboard sleeves and plastic covers of some records. Considering putting a cheap custom glass door on it because it's now turned into a game when I'm not paying enough attention to her. That and jumping on the dust cover of my turntable and immediately laying down on it glaring at me. Typical female
  15. Two discs containing a/b and labeled a/b. My second disc even came in the appendix sleeve. Mike was pretty quick to email me back saying he could send a replacement c/d and him chiming in here is cool too. Nice to know someone is personally on top of what's going on.
  16. Sucks! But I'm glad I'm not the only one. No offense. Haha where are our double c/d counter parts?!?
  17. Cool thank you. Emailed. Never got a shipping email and my email must have deleted the download code email that we got back in the beginning of summer. Hopefully it's not widespread. I'm sure it'll work out some way. I hope haha
  18. Now that I went to the second disc, it actually has two of the first disc side a and b. No side c and d. who can I email?
  19. Mine came in today! Everything looks cool / sounds awesome. My only complaint: I'm assuming they rushed putting these together? My lyric book in the pocket on the center fold is kind of ruined. Looks like the glue gave up a little and the lyric book get stuck under a seam/glue in the die cut. Only way to get it out was to slightly rip part of the center die cut and peal the book off the glue which ripped it slightly. Now I have to glue part of the die cut back together and deal with a small rip on the front of the lyric book. Overall though it sounds awesome (most important part) the perfectionist in me will have to live with a little rip on the cover of the lyric book
  20. I had said the same thing recently in a thread on buy, sell, trade and someone on the board corrected me and said that apprantly it's going to happen but they're waiting for the new album presses to come out before they announce it? Makes sense not to drop both so close to each other, most people would be more likely to purchased if they were spaced out. Although I never actually saw this from the band so I can't say it's 100%
  21. Gonna be nice to listen to these without flipping and changing 9 different 7"s. Definitely some solid songs in there. Chris Cresswell (@CrustCrustwell) 7/30/15, 11:00 AM Its gonna be a couple different colours. More news on that soon!
  22. I was thinking the same thing. There has to be a date missing for us. I'd be really surprised if they didn't bring this to New England. They almost always hit Boston or Rhode Island. Hoping for a Rhode Island date so I don't have to drive far haha
  23. Very solid album. Incredibly cohesive. Maybe even a little too cohesive. First listen, nothing really jumped out at me as a "wow, what's this track called so I can go back and listen to it again". I feel like some melodies and rhythms are repeated in different songs which pulls the album together but also made me lose interest in some parts. I think the vocals are a littttllleee to buried in the mix too. While I wish pale horses and Dorothy had a little more to them, it's overall a very sairfying listen and a natural progression of their sound. Excited for my deluxe to come in, maybe they'll be a little more variation in the b-sides and demos!
