  1. My favorite goldfinger album! Disappointed to hear the self titled was so lackluster. A little hesitant to grab it now, guess I'll wait till someone can say how the sound quality is. Anyone else listen to the cd expect to hear the time running out beeps when the bridge of superman hits? Hahaha
  2. Brother sister is currently available on the burnt toast vinyl site. 10 stories you can get pretty much anywhere. It's all crazy I've seen decently priced on Amazon here and there. I'd wait on catch for us the foxes, they were supposed to do a 10 year version but it's been tied up due to some kind of licenseing issue but it's been stated by the band that it's happening, just when ever universal music group lets it happen. Ab life might be the most challenging one to snag at a decent price
  3. Agree 100% plus the lp is tiple gatefold die cut (hopefully not déjà astronaut quality
  4. The band Lions are doing an indiegogo campaign to fund the recording of their first full length. Some talented musicians here that deserve a little support. Check em out and if you like what you hear buy one of the perks! https://wearelions.bandcamp.com/album/mtnz-ep https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lions-needs-help-to-record-first-full-length-album
  5. New song "teeth in the sink" streaming http://www.avclub.com/article/dikembe-collects-teeth-sink-its-new-ep-218411 Preorder link http://jeremyrecords.limitedrun.com/products/543615-dikembe-ledge-7-pre-order
  6. At least 50 on eBay and no one grabbed any for the board?! Seriously though, no luck finding one here either, long shot with all the requests but if someone has an extra copy they want to get rid of let me know!
  7. Long shot with how many requests are here but if someone could grab me a copy of this too I'd be pumped.
  8. Not yet. But by noon tomorrow I'm sure it will have evolved to something close. Visual evidence would make me giggle more though
  9. Can there be a thread that is just all sad crying selfies of all the kids who waited in line this for this and didn't get it?
  10. So time for a wild guess Everyone has been saying the knowgodsjustwork Instagram is a fan screwing with everyone. Yesterday it posted a video with the numbers 6 and 5 popping up. Just a little while a video was posted with super fast text appearing and reappearing and also a number 4. Could it be counting down to something. Assuming tomorrow will be 3, Saturday 2 ect that leaves 0 on Monday 4/20. Wasn't 420 significant to brand new? Someone's favorite number even though they don't smoke or something? What do you think? Too far of a reach?
  11. Damn it Ross. Look what you started http://modern-vinyl.com/2015/03/27/first-edition-of-now-thats-what-i-call-music-being-pressed/
  12. My first was "they've actually gotten worse live" by nofx in 2009. Weekend visit to newbury comics happened to be the second ever record store day. All vinyl were marked down 25% the vinyl came with a cd and with the discount was only a few bucks more than the CD its self (ahh the days of 15.99 double lps), figured it was a win either way. A week later i bought my first record player and a copy of "illusion of safety" by thrice
  13. Just the first, cause we all know it when to shit when he went to college
  14. Step by step, family matters, growing pains, boy meets world comp. coming next. Single sided 7" with TGIF etching on B side 19.99
  15. Don't forget to take pictures of your fresh new record when you get home, preferably placing said record directly on a dirty hadwood floor or holding it up to the light with your fingers all over the grooves to show off that sweet transparent splatter
  16. I think my gripe sits more with the fact that these are demos being pressed to vinyl. Money hungry or not, musical taste/preference aside, were talking about demos on vinyl. You purchase vinyl mostly for the enhanced sound quality right? I mean, at least I do. I know people buy vinyl for "the hobby" and to feel special beause they own every color pressing or the most limited color pressing with vinyl only artwork blah blah blah but if it sounds like crap what's the point right? Look up the definition of a music demo, "One of the most important things to remember about a demo, especially when you are getting started, is that it is not intended to be a finished product. There is no need to spend a lot of money on a recording studio to make a demo. Labels expect your demo to be rough, and no one is going to give you a record deal (or turn you down) based on the recording quality of your demo." Obviously his demos may not fall 100% into this definition but someone is using a medium ment for high quality audio and essentially pressing the most basic skeleton/mix/master of some songs and charging you 30 dollars for a single lp and cd after it was all supposed to be a free download? I think it's fair to say some, if not most people, would feel slighted by this. I don't think that's to say some people are wrong/dumb for buying it, hey if it's what you're into go for it, but I personally see this as a lazy way to make some money off of what you already have lying around.
  17. It's "an album of demos, odds and ends" I'm not sure you would record songs and go through all the proper steps of production, mixing and mastering just to call your work a collection of demos. Like I said, just seems like a money grab to me. No more Blink for Tom, so Tom takes what he had left for Blink and tries to make money off it. Can't blame him, make your money while you can, but it sits in line with the statement Mark and Travis put out I guess
  18. guess there no point in bands having there music mixed and mastered when you can just slap demos on vinyl and say 30 dollars please, oh no the 180 grams will make up for the complete lack of production assistance. Seems like a last effort cash grab from all the blink fans
  19. Thanks for the help/info guys. I had purchased mine used so maybe the previous owner screwed around with the spindle hole, or possibly a record plant defect. Wasn't planning on hot glueing or drilling anything lol A repress of this would be pretty sweet seeing how mine has a ton of surface noise. Also a huge shame they don't sound like this anymore, definitely their best work in my opinion
