Had some extra money in my pocket tonight and picked up the HT variant. Your Graduation has been in my head all night.
My brother, who normally doesn't care for anything in this scene, absolutely loves that song.

I helped with it yeah! Fun show. Sad that that was the last time they came to central illinois. They used to come like 4 times a year or so.
Fun fact: I actually discovered The Wonder Years by putting on a fireworks show in Peoria. They brought TWY out on what was their first actual tour outside of the northeast. It was outside behind the peoria river plex. TWY played right before fireworks and were awesome.
Then fireworks set up to play and the first song they were going to play was "From Mountain Movers to Lazy Losers". 10 seconds into the song right before the gang vocals that go "We're Holding On" , they cut the power on us and shut the show down and kicked everybody out because they had a strict 10PM rule.
Luckily one of the kids in attendance, his parents owned the Planet X roller rink in Pekin and let us move the show to there. There was about 30-40 of us who caravanned over there.
Yeah, that Morton show was a blast. I convinced my family to cut our vacation a day short so I could make it, and I've never once regretted it. I wish I had known about their earlier shows in the area. I've definitely heard the stories about that TWY/Fireworks show before. Makes me wish I had gotten involved in that scene sooner.

Did you book the show at the Morton American Legion in March of 2010? If so, thanks.I agree. Live and on record I'd put those two at 1 and 2 respectively.
I've probably seen fireworks 25-30 times around the Midwest. I put on shows for them around central Illinois way back in the day and I can honestly say that Dave's voice has always been god awful live.

It takes a few listens to really get into, and there's nothing on it that compares to "Casey" or "Gates," but it's not a bad album by any means.

I never did post an update about my dust cover not staying up. It was because the shelf I had it on initially wasn't level. Now that I have an Expedit, everything's good.Just got this baby in the mail. Sounds amazing, looks amazing, and I haven't had a single issue with the belt.
Also, I didn't notice an issue with the dust cover like Troy pointed out before, so I'm assuming this has been addressed as well.
Worth the wait, in my opinion.

I would proudly sport a "Free Logan" button.

Acoustic versions of those two songs will be wonderful.
-
I'm sure it will eventually get a repress. CYLS is good with that.
cough*what it takes to move forward*cough
I know there are other factors at play with that one (damaged plates, etc), but a repressing of that is printing money at this point.

Thanks for the heads up! Keep It Together is such a stellar album.

I still don't understand why Crank! don't have an online store. They obviously have more copies of this and the demand is definitely there.
I'd buy so much stuff from them, but I don't want to deal with doing it through email.

This album is killing it, the more i listen to it the better it gets, really glad i grabbed one. Hopefully they'll be coming to canada soon.
Yeah, this is hands down the best Swellers album, although I really love Good For Me as well.

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up in about six weeks, and she's a huge Guster fan, so I want to get her some records. Easy Wonderful is readily available, but it's also not that great of an album, so if anyone is willing to part with Keep It Together or Ganging Up On the Sun, I'd love to take them off your hands.
Help me be a cool boyfriend!

Very much looking forward to this.

I purchased a variant from each band at the Chain Reaction show. They look sort of similar, but I am willing to part with one of my copies-
PM'd you.
-
Checked out a couple videos, and while I have zero desire to ever hear their music again, this would be a great talking point for the collection.

Really? To this day I still prefer that song over King Park. Edward Benz, 27 Times and Harder Harmonies also drew me in.
Yeah, that was the song that always sounded like La Dispute on autopilot to me. Since you mentioned "Edward Benz," I think that's the best song they've ever written.
-
Interesting. That song is a glaring weak spot of Wildlife for me.The first song I actually got through was "The Most Beautiful Bitter Fruit" that was on the No Sleep 2012 Summer sampler. One guy said you have to start at the beginning of their discography, but for me, they were a band I had to settle into before starting from the beginning.

And now I will certainly be attending RSD.

I wondered where the side change would be on this album, and I really like that solution. They also moved the end of Wildflowers to the beginning of Life In Drag because of the side change, really like that switch for this setting.
-
Hoping they have some of those left at the Chicago show tomorrow. Pet Symmetry is my second favorite Evan Weiss project after IIOI.
-
I haven't but I plan on it...every song gave me chills just like TLLA...I love albums like that and they don't come around that often...
It's not as good as the new one, and it's stylistically pretty different, but I know you're a big pop punk fan, so I think you'll be into it.

I just listened to this with the lyrics and holy fucking shit dudes...holy fucking shit...I can't believe it took me this long to get to this album
Maybe its me, but the lyrics really give me a Pianos Become The Teeth - The Lack Long After feel in terms of intensity...just wow...
That's a pretty good comparison on the lyrics. Have you checked out their first album yet?

Did you get my reply to your PM?

Got the splatter, and grabbed the Miles and Interstates 7" along with it. "I Miss You" gets stuck in my head all the time, so I'm really excited about this record. I should pick up Everything's Amazing soon too.
