got this in the mail yesterday. a little let down. not horrible by any means, i just loved world class listening problem, and this album definitely doesn't live up. you can tell that they are back down to a 3-piece (a lot less guitar interaction) and they pulled a battles by adding vox here and there (though not as clever and unique as battles). oh well... i'm just hoping it grows after a few more listens.

is it safe to assume you'll be getting single copies of micf?

same here... i even searched itunes and couldn't seem to find it.

i think the main issue here is that the older/more diverse/more curmudgeon users like myself are outnumbered by the younger/more genre-specific users. as excited as i am about this concept, i personally don't care for the majority of the top 15 (with the exception of #6 & #7 & maybe #15). unfortunately, it's not up to me alone. the vote is the vote... and that's that. my hope is that the project itself is successful and maybe down the line, the concept can branch out. that being said, i propose those of use that would prefer to get handsome pressed start our own collective and make it happen.

i've got mine on it's side... works like a champ.

how so? in my opinion, you're paying for something tangible and you hope/expect it to be in the best condition possible. (and honestly, i'd consider this more than a typo).

i agree... i'm curious to know what the deal is. 6+ months of waiting, design/printing errors on the final version, and the (seemingly missing) proposed gift certificate is a little much to just be forgotten about. regardless of the quality of the wax itself, most people (myself included) don't just buy albums... they collect them. people bitch and moan all the time about corners being dinged & seams being ripped, so i fail to see how this should be considered any less of an issue.

seems to be some confusion on ride the lightning... i'm fairly certain it's a 2xLP rather than 4xLP. elusive (which seems to be the first site that had it listed for preorder) mentions both 2x & 4x in the description. i'm guessing that's where the typo started and has now spread like wildfire. it's listed as 2xLP on relapse, which i trust to know their metal.
