  1. No not for giroux, for Carter hell yes. Sammy - maybe but if so there were rumors at the trade deadline and there were rumors Montreal wanted giroux. I think they wanted a small contract
  2. Unreal. And lol at the Philly fans who wouldn't trade for price. You guys want another bandaid? You hoping for Turco? I mean who is out there. I would have loved price or halak. I'm shocked about the trade. My guess is that Montreal didn't want to pay him and didn't want to take ANY salary back. I dunno
  3. Campbell has an awfull contract - 7.something every year? Ugh I think hawks are stuck with that one, since they didn't even frontload the deal they can't even dump him to a team that struggles to hit the cap floor and would love a 7 mill cap hit while only paying 2-3 mill. Horrific contract
  4. I can. They guy doesn't play well in the playoffs, is the only tradable asset that can free up salary cap space/and is part of a logjam at center Richards will never go anywhere, briere just had 30 points in the playoffs, hartnell massively stepped up his game (and wouldn't be that valuble regardless) giroux is untouchable. It's a little early to give up on JVR. Plus a bunch of those guys have NTC. Gagne has one as well. Carter doesn't and has a 5m cap hit and is good enough to net a positive return. If leino didn't come out of nowhere the flyers would be desperate for a winger, even with him they could do with one or two more. I heard some talk about a possible trade skeleton of Bobby Ryan and Jeff Carter. Some pieces would be added but. The flyers / ducks have a good trade relationship and the ducks desperatly need a true #2 center. Carter is the best asset to get players or a great goalie back. I would trade for price in a heartbeat.
  5. Phillies had a plan before they won game 5. No big deal, the TEAM doesn't have a plan, it's the CITY - who honestly needs to plan. There are Rumors that if the flyers come back the parade will be Sunday or Monday
  6. Flyers will win game 6. Game 7 is up in the air of course. Pronger will bounce back
  7. The hockey being played right now is incredible. It's a shame the series has to end soon
  8. Great thread, some stuff I haven't listened to before - can't wait to catch up
  9. Fuck, was about to buy a three day pass and shit Is sold out
  10. Great stuff on cursive and nmh - Two headed boy part 2 surprised this hasn't been posted converge - Jane doe others for me - (both might be classified as not the closer because there is another "track" after but I consider them to be he last songs) Thursday - how long is the night la dispute - last lost continent
  11. That was a better overall game. Pronger is a legend. Philly has to win the next two obviously. I wish game three was tonight. I am ready
  12. What the shit is going on. Just win the game please
  13. Every cup winning team is helped by opponent injuries somewhere along the lines, just the nature of the beast.
  14. Considering what he's done with the team, Yes
  15. No, chara is as higly rated but as a top 4 no, Campbell isn't that great devensivly is he? I'm not disputing that the hawks are the favorites but it's not by a long shot. On paper the teams match up. Both top three lines can score. The gagne Richards Carter line is on fire and are also great defensively. I'm going to say on home ice they flyers will try to match that line against Kane toews buff. Hartnell is playing well finally and briere and leino are on fire. Hossa and sharp is a good pair as well. The second flyers line isn't as defensivly strong as the flyers 1st line but they are scoring. Giroux is a force. Versteg and holland are good players as well. Both teams have good pkers with lappy and betts and madden for the hawks. Defensively the flyers 3rd pair is useless, but they are only on the ice for under 5 mins anyway. Keith is a special player but pronger is the best of the bunch and kimo is such an underrated force back there. I like seabrook a lot as well of course and in a few years those top two might be better than the flyers top two but not right now. Goalie - toss up. Overall I'd give a slight edge in forward depth to Chicago. Slight defensive edge to Philly and a slight goaltending edge to Chicago but again leighton is what - 6-1 in the playoffs with 3 shutouts and bounced back in game 7 vs Boston to pitch anshutout for 2 1/2 periods. Coaching - have to give the flyers an edge there. It's going to be a fantastic and hard fought series. It's going to come down to matchups and special teams and the diffence in the series might be a guy like giroux or bolland. Maybe even briere or hossa, who both have a shot to win a cup and can put up big numbers. It sucks having to wait for Saturday. I'd love to go to a game but nosebleeds are on sale in Philly for over 400, which is way too much
  16. Not to be too much of a homer but have the hawks played a top four D like the flyers? The Canuacks had Bieska, Ehrhoff, and Elder? The Sharks had Boyle and Blake and Huskins? The top two dmen alone do not match Pronger and Timmonen.
  17. I think it's going 7 as well. Or atleast 1-2 OT games
