  1. Current experiences: Vinyl Collective...although there has only been one so far and off eBay. Verydistro has the potential to prove great once I get in the package that is on its way.

Previous: All orders with now-defunct Initial Records. They always threw in sampler cd's, stickers, and or other wacky stuff...They used to do a "Party Polaroid" with every order over $50.00....what they would was take a Polaroid pic of the guys in the mailorder department packing your order and then at the bottom of the pic they would write "This order has been put together for_____ by _____." It was some funny stuff.

One order I placed way back in early 90's with Doghouse Records (before they got together with Lumberjack distro) when I placed an order for an Endpoint long-sleeve t-shirt....they were sold out of long-sleeves, so they sent me a short-sleeved one and to make up for it, they threw in 3 7" records and stickers. It was cool.

  2. A lot a lot. I visit it dozens of times daily, and am constantly hitting "reload." It's kind of sad.

But this board is definitely the most active out of the handful I visit, so it's why I like coming here so much.

I'm the same way Scott...I find myself hitting 'refresh' to see what's updated and which threads are most active...plus I would hate to miss out on any possible trades and/or pre-orders.

  3. I'm a stand-up philosopher...

Actually, I'm a corporate lackey/trained monkey in the claims department for an auto insurance company. Yeah, I'm the guy you talk to and tell him what happened in the accident, who's at fault and all that craziness. From time to time I go out on the road to body shops and whatnot to write estimates on vehicle damages. Most of the time it's OK and I get to learn about cars...but when it sucks, it sucks miserably.

And to think I went to college and got a degree in Communications with a minor on abnormal psych. Oh well. That's life for ya!

But hey...it pays the bills and allows me to feed my vinyl habit.

  4. Both are better than DHL. My dad ordered some live Coral for our fish tank and paid for overnight, DHL loses them in Cincinnati, finds them later that day and refuses to drive them up here that night. Half the corals are dead or dying when we finally get them, and they refused to pay any compensation.

That is just plain fucked up! >:(

  5. Very just recently made it clear that all vinyl will be shipped unsealed to customers as they are doing so to ensure what color vinyl it is. But if the customer wants the records they order to remain sealed, they have to say so in the comments box when placing their order.
