my taste hasnt changed drastically since high school cause it was only two years ago.. but i can tell you that in 5th grade it was all about blink 182 in 7th grade it was all about lagwagon (which i made into my screenname, a screenname i havent changed since) and in 8th grade all i listened to was ska. and there are still tons of bands i listened to when i was 12-13 that i still love (or love even more) now. i think i picked up 'midwestern songs' in 7th grade.

wasnt really 'ruff guide' until i saw them a couple of months ago. not a lot of kids showed up but they still put on an awesome show and sold me on their music. good people.

backed. also, ive had the original dvd for a while.. but i have yet to watch it with the audio commentary. i heard its pretty funny though. they just sit around, talk about the movie, and get shit faced.

i just finished this movie like.. an hour ago, haha. i didnt realize it was released this year. but yeah, it was very awesome. funny and dark and fucked up all together.

Yeah.. I missed this one but I heard really good things. The trailer is real creepy. I also missed Funny Games, another horror film that got pretty good reviews this year. Anybody seen/like it?

Blasphemy! No.. not really.. but serioulsy, I thought that movie was a classic. So many brilliant quotes. Oh yeah.. Burn After Reading.. that was a good watch. I don't see myself jumping to see it again soon though. Still, very fun.

Got this idea from the top albums thread. So what do you think? Obviously Dark Knight. I also might be the only person who enjoyed the Hulk over Iron Man. And I just saw that new Charlie Kaufman movie and it was pretty fucked-up/awesome. Also, favorite comedy... I said this in another thread but I think that Role Models is the funniest movie of the year... maybe even since 40-Year-Old Virgin. And Forgetting Sarah Marshall was also very awesome. Jason Segal is my favorite out of that whole Apatow crowd.. ever since Freaks and Geeks. And I think Spaced came out on DVD this year.. in which case, best fucking DVD release of 08.. hands down.

i'd also like to state that although 59' sound didnt make my top ten albums of the year, senor and the queen was #1 on my top five EPs... is that weird?

i wouldn't be able to only because im highly allergic to cigarette smoke. i found that out in 6th grade when my friend stole his dads pack of cigarettes and we smoked one (and passed it around, hhaha) on a nature trail. that was a bad day. but i dont mind smokers whatsoever. if i didnt have allergies, i couldnt see it bothering me. smoking inside kinda sucks, and im glad they banned it in bars (in NY) so i can enjoy a show without my throat closing up, but whatever.. do what you gotta do. i in no way see it as disrespecting yourself or the people around you. i think thats pretty fucking extreme... but i guess thats just one opinion. if you like her, go for it.

the trailer looks great.. but its just a trailer. i cant shake off the fact that zack snyder is making this movie. the match just doesn't fit in my head. and i know i shouldnt judge a film i havent seen by his past works, but neither should i judge it by a slick looking trailer. i just hope it doesnt totally blow.

is the guy to the left of bruce the same hick from evil dead II? kinda looks like him. anyway, not expecting much from this movie but im sure itll be real entertaining.

yeah these are really awesome. the last one is very cool. i always wanted to do something like this.. create art based on an album or band that inspired me the most. but i think the outcome might be a little different considering my favorite band is ASOB, haha. anyway, keep it up man.

according to punknews.. it came out in 2008. but yeah, its funny you mention the dopamines album.. today was the first time i listened to it which actually sparked me to start this thread. im afraid there are more albums that rad that im missing out on.
