  1. I ended up returning a second anti static brush so I am done with them. I bought a regular wet cleaner, throw some distilled water on it and run it around and it works nice. I'll further eliminate the static when I upgrade to the Acril-it platter and, hopefully, not even need an anti static carbon fiber brush. Upsetting to say the least that nothing seems to perform well.
  2. I'm a big Park fan and have 1/3 presses of both those albums. Sadly I don't have the cash to put up for the other two or I would just to have them.
  3. Damn, can't find a blue one I really want. I'll throw down for the next one
  4. I didn't press, just let the weight of the brush, if that, do the work. The box said don't press or put any unnecessary stress on the fibers. I didn't expect it to clean, but it did gather a bit of particulate and I could see some on the turntable. I took the LP off to examine what it had and that is when I saw that there were fibers all in the grooves of the record. I ran the brush over the spindle so it did discharge the static, but why use it if it will shred everywhere? Maybe I have just had bad luck, I don't know. Having said that, good or bad I played the record anyway. I didn't hear anything that would scream "WTF THERE ARE LITTLE FIBERS IN THE GROOVES", so maybe it isn't such a big deal? If the record didn't happen to be white, I'd not have known.
  5. Returned that brush in the post above and got an Audioquest brush since I saw some people people had good stuff to say about them. Most of the amazon reviews were negative though. The first LP I played was white and I noticed a crap-ton of fibers all over the LP almost instantly. Did discharge the static though. Unhappy with my anti static brush experiences thus far.
  6. Sounds like the best option given the price. I think I am going to do the same thing after getting a look at the price on the label's store.
  7. Not sure if you found this, but SRC is selling the 180 Gram White now for $21.99. When SRC said they were sold out, I ordered one on Ebay and paid more than twice that. Probably a newbie mistake, but I thought when they said sold out they were sold out. Not sold out cause you're not a subscriber but now in stock cause they want to clear warehouse space. Anyway: http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/Saosin-%252d-Saosin-LP.html
  8. HA! yea I am sure that blows. I know when I walk into a store I want to buy everything..."ZOMG dis Gibson is only $900, I can totally do that!!...Wait, never mind."
  9. The videos were so much better. The directions were not the clearest. I love my Debut-Carbon thus far and am happy I spent the money on such a good starter turntable. This looks pretty damn awesome, but I'd have no idea where to even start other than he says in the comments that he used 5mm LED lights.
  10. They are really great live. Have you heard the acoustic of Sex? It is like sex, for you ears. http://www.last.fm/music/The+1975 First video on the main page of their Last.fm
  11. Loving this album thus far. She Way Out, Robbers, and Settle Down are pretty awesome tracks. I'll be getting my LP soon.
  12. I'm going to be spending so much money haha. I'm excited this is finally happening and, with the new album on the way, DGD fans are getting some love. I like Tilian thus far, looking forward to a full album listen.
  13. I just heard these guys two weeks ago after having seen them on a late night talk show and forgetting to look them up. I really like them. As soon as I can I'm going to put down for the album.
  14. I'll throw my hat in the ring for Saosin's S/T from Hot Topic. http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Music/Vinyl/Saosin+-+Self-Titled+Vinyl+LP-10016394.jsp Love this thread by the way. Awesome thing people are doing here.
  15. I don't think that album was ever pressed in it's entirety. There are just singles from the album released.
  16. Love the look dude. The purple looks awesome with the darkness of the Expedit and other gear.
  17. I just got my set-up, and in preparation for it I bought the DAK Anti Static brush off amazon after hearing horror stories about just about every other brush. Now on the 5th-8th use and already: Static is also an issue for me too, even when I ground the brush on something. I emailed the company. EDIT: The customer service rep got back to me and wasn't any help. He claimed that the bristles just needed to be reset into position using my finger, but I assured him they are gone, not just moved. He claimed that the issue is due to nothing more than normal wear and tear on the product, despite that I had used it less than 10 times. After another email, he offered to send a new one or replace it.
  18. Thanks. I have 2 more, but not quite sure where to put them yet because of the odd shape of my room. I got the set of 4 for a deal with the amp and it was a really good price, so I couldn't pass up.
  19. My first set-up and turntable: Turntable: Pro-Ject Debut Carbon (white) Amp: Nad 304 Integrated Amplifier Speakers: B&W DM303s Shelf: IKEA Expedit (thanks to Questhate)
  20. I am looking for several LPs if anyone is selling: Saosin S/T- White album Killswitch Engage - not sure if they were released in the US Times of Grace - The Hymn of a Broken Man Ellie Goulding - Halcyon, don't think they pressed Bright Lights As I Lay Dying - Awakened I ask here because I would prefer gently used to having to spring for new(if they are even still available). If anyone has these laying around and wants some extra cash PM me and see if we can work something out. Thanks
