Trying to plan a trip to England (Liverpool area) a few days after Christmas this year and was wondering if anyone had any good information on cheap flights or websites to find them?

Borders Going Out of Business
dcstrange87 replied to uglyorganist's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I worked at a Borders that closed around February. It was a pretty interesting experience with people trying to haggle to get a lower price and then yelling at us for marking the barcode, some complained it ruined the resale value. Basically just a lot of yelling. Oh well. -

Who remembers the Paramedic/itsajakie?

They look so much more mature now and I really think it shows in their music. -
I don't know if this has been talked about yet but what do you guys think about DC restarting pretty much all of their titles at issue #1? For a casual comic book fan like myself it might be good. There are a few titles I've wanted to get into for a while but have been just too far behind (one Batman title had need to know information from the 40's and 50's) Just wondering what everyone else thought about the reboot?

I don't know what the OP intended, but I wouldn't call that a political book, but a philosophy book.Political to me implies actual policy rather than ideals. Exactly. No offense to the suggestion, of course. Now, if it was a book on communism and why it worked in some countries and not in others or a book on the policies behind the Cold War from both sides, then I might be interested.

So, now that I'm a graduate and still looking for a non part-time job I've had a lot of time to do some non required reading. I have been on a political book kick lately and was wondering if you all had some recommendations for some interesting reads in that subject? I'm very liberal but down to read anything that can bring up some good points and is thought provoking.

And here is the flyer for the show, just for kicks. -
Did anyone happen to catch this last night? I'm not really too interested in the awards, seeing how The Tourist and Alice in Wonderland were up for Best Comedy or Musical, the field is kind of diluted. But I thought Ricky Gervais did an awesome job hosting. He was easily the best part of the night.

Thank you! I was trying to figure out the significance of the pumpkin treats. I need to pay more attention to the boards (scary thought). And the gift wrapping was off the second the package was opened. I was just psyched at the chance to open presents By the way, the Freaks and Geeks book is awesome. You know its a good show when even the script makes you laugh. -
Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom......... I'm pretty much at a loss for words, I knew it was controversial but wow.... Has anyone else seen this? I just feel tired and worn out after watching.

What does deck mean? Am I already too old for this reference at the ancient age of 23? I will be seeing this in Bloomington, IN. They put on such an awesome show last year at the Pit Stop Fest. -

Guilty! Glad you liked the record. Whitehead is one of my new favorites so I hope you enjoy it too. But I really think what really throws it together is the memoir book...The cover is very inspirational. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! -
I am neither travis nor good looking....but I'm drunk.

I really can't find any fault in his logic.....+1 or something.

Just got mine in late last week. Owen "New Leaves", a pirated copy of Dial M for Murder (awesome movie) and the books Stuff White Midwesterners Like, Fuck You Rock Portraits, Food Court Druids, a book of literary terms (which I have been pouring over) and the complete Freaks and Geeks Scripts Volume 2. So thank you very much Santa, whoever you may be. There were no clues left so I can't make a guess, or maybe there was and I'm that oblivious lol.....oh and they included a poptart! -

So.... I'm an English Lit major graduating in the spring. I love Flannary O'Connor and Jack Kerouac(as well most of the Beat authors), as well as old school noir type novels/movies. I'm a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Liverpool FC and the US National Soccer Team. My favorite bands are The Gaslight Anthem, Matthew Good (Matthew Good Band), Owen, My Morning Jacket, Against Me, Pearl Jam and Neil Young. Pretty much it. -
BCS. Let's Talk About It.

Never really had a college team (my college doesn't have football) but I like to follow. Anyway, I find the argument that BSU and TCU don't deserve to be in the Title game because of their lack of schedule strength ridiculous. I'm sure BSU and TCU would LOVE to have a Michigan, Nebraska, LSU or USC on their schedule. But what AQ team in their right mind would sign on for a game like that? A playoff would have some faults but at least it can decide a "real" national champion. -
Stopped by Underground today...picked up a few things (a few Neil Young and Third Man Record records). Any one have any good spots for lunch? It would have to be walking distance from the Galt.
-
Awesome, thanks for the info man. I'm Just holed up in the Galt right now drinking and doing some homework ( a great combination I know). I'll be in sessions all day tomorrow but will be sure to head back to Bardstown at some point. Why did Ear x tacy change locations if you happen to know? Also, I'll be seeing My Morning Jacket on Friday, just bought the tickets.
