It is possible for the Hunter with the gun shooting you to be an ally but only if you enter that area later in the game for the first time. If you've already killed stuff in that area you probably won't be able to befriend him.

Such a good area, kinda sucks that it is semi-hidden. I missed it completely my first playthrough.

final boss question

There are some gems you can socket into your weapon that give your weapon arcane damage (bolt, fire). Your damage with that weapon will then scale more with your arcane stat than your strength or skill. Arcane stat also improves item discovery which can get you more (or better? I don't know) drops from enemies. I wouldn't worry about your arcane stat too much though, you don't get the elemental gems until much later in the game.

I didn't mean the spin just the regular R2, I think it was the BSB or DBP. I just think some of the bigger bosses have a mechanic where if hit them hard enough it stuns them for a sec, just we had two people so by taking turns the boss just locked down.

I forget what boss it was but I was helping someone and we were both just wailing on it with R2 and it just kept collapsing over and over and died.

Just have the starting pistol upgraded a bit. I only use it to "parry" big enemies or use it on fast stuff like dogs to stun em.

Yeah I just ran through the level to get to him the first time and got death rained upon me, still trying to figure out the best way there and make sure I didn't miss any loot in the level.

I'm fighting

I'm fairly far, probably 7-8 bosses dead. Shit just got real.
