  1. Looking for the split. Let me know if you have it for sale. Thanks!
  2. I'll give her a listen. Thanks for the suggestion, brother.
  3. Hey guys, I'm a huge fan of jazz music and would REALLY like to expand my collection to include more jazz, swing, etc. from the 20s and 30s era. I love music like Annette Hanshaw (look up "Daddy Won't You Please Come Home" for reference) and was curious if anyone knew any other musicians like her that they could suggest? Also, is there anywhere that sells music specific to this style of genre? Thanks for all the help!
  4. My dude, Define the Great Line is probably the rarest records on my "To Buy" list. There's one on Discogs for around $300, but that's the cheapest I've found. Saosin should be a little easier. Good luck!
  5. Your prices are absolutely ridiculous, my dude. If you want to sell those, you might want to lower them. You can get Devil for around $15 new/sealed. $35?
  6. Just picked up a copy of this. $15 for shipping and $25 for the record is a little ridiculous. But when such good music gets pressed, it's REALLY hard to say no. Split the shipping with a friend by adding it all to one order. Not too bad I guess..
  7. Just picked up 2 copies of this. Been waiting for a while to pick this up. Can't believe I finally have it!
  8. I'm VERY interest in buying one of the Tiger and the Duke gatefolds. How much would you be selling them for?
  9. I'm not getting "irate." Lol. I'm just explaining why I do it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That's the beautiful part of this hobby of ours.
  10. I also collect vinyl to listen to. But unlike digital, it is susceptible to damage, scratches, skips, etc. And if my favorite record from a small local band skips and I can't find another copy anywhere, I will be very disappointed. I collect vinyl because it's a way to have a physical copy of the music that I love and it's presented in a way that forces you to appreciate every aspect of the album; the lyrics, the music, the artwork, everything. I aim to take care of my collection but in the off chance that something does happen to it, I would like to have one of these "relics" you speak of in my collected, unopened and ready to spin.
  11. Some of the records like Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" or Bob Dylan's "Blood on the Tracks" which were their favorites they did. But they took really great care of all of them so most are in NM to M condition.
  12. I mean I doubt they'll be a daily spin, but it will definitely be a nice treat to "rediscover" the album so to speak or show my kids the bands I used to listen to. My parents gave me all their old records and it really brought us closure together because we bonded over the music that they loved.
  13. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone else buys doubles (or more) of their favorite records. Which have you bought? Why do you/don't you buy multiple copies of your favorite records? I'm just really interested to hear all of your opinions. I recently bought 2 copies of Chiodos "Alls Well That Ends Well" (and Dikembe's "Broad Shoulders") because that's one of my top 10 favorite records of all time and if my copy ever got a skip or something I wouldn't want to have to pay an exorbitant amount of money for another copy. Or worse, not be able to find a copy of it 20-30 years down the road.
  14. Now this is a true comparison and how I feel about new vs. old Pokemon. Still not sure if I'll buy it, but I might. Will probably wait for reviews.
  15. How was X and Y? I didn't have a chance to play them yet because I don't have a 3DS. I bought a DSi specifically for Black and White but I'm not sure if I want to pay for a 3DS just for X and Y.
  16. I completely agree, my friend. Long live the original Pokemon!
