Dude is a fuck face, gave me a reasonable price and then when i dont respond he calls me a cunt. Just because he thinks the records are gold because they are old and in "pristine condition". Much rather have the 180 gram brand new for 4 much bucks. Haha what a silly fucking brute. Im done with thread, peace

These prices are all in line with Discogs and the other sites. The garbage that's selling for $13 is in Good condition. This copy is in Very Good Plus to NM. I went through loads of eBay sales, Discogs sales, etc to figure out what I should charge. I sold the Metallica for $60 to a fella because it was near pristine. But whatevs.

Simple. I collect vinyl for the music/artwork. I prefer better sounding vinyl, and like newer 180 grams over an old 1979 copy. Just because its old doesnt automatically mean it should be worth more. In some cases thats obviously how it works but not from my point of view on vinyl. Once again, im here for the love of the music, i dont collect them just because they can be considered "collectibles". Its all about the music to me brah.
    Now im done...seriously

Not trying to thread jack at all but I have a hundred or so tradeback comics I do not want too much, and if there is any interest in buying comics or trading records for comics I wouldn't mind making up a list.
(I hope this isn't rude to post in your thread, I'm worried it may be and apologize if it is!)

Disclaimer:  All cassettes posted for sale are deemed 'awesome' by me.

So I've fancied the compact cassette format for a while and as you can see, I still bought new ones even up through about 2004 or so. Pretty much if a record store still had a rack of tapes hiding in the corner I'd take a peek at them as the cd onlookers snickered. And of the ones I still have here, they are some pretty good ones. Almost all should be USA pressings and a few of these are harder to find than the loch ness monster. Be a champ and rock out in style at the gym with a Walkman and some glorious tunes on tape.

Record fairs are a big one. It's nice to be able to mingle about with fellow hobbyists for a couple of days who all share similar interests. I've made several new friends this way and always look forward to upcoming shows, even if the dealers end up carrying little vinyl that I'd buy. One I'll add myself is -- the lack of easy fast forwarding, rewinding, and track searching/playlists. I think this does help with listening to albums in their entirety, which does seem to be a bit of a lost art now with the average person now only listening to a track or two at a time of a particular artist before moving onto something else. With vinyl, I find myself fully engaged in the music and the music only.

    bamaaudio got a reaction from henster311 in FS: 311 - Soundsystem (1999) & Sum 41 - Chuck (2004). Original pressings
    Hi,

I'm offering a couple more LPs after the interest of my last listing.

    311 - Soundsystem (1999)

    VG+ to EX-

Not quite as classic as the self titled, but I always preferred this one to Transistor. This is the hard to find original Capricorn Records pressing from 1999 with the catalog number of CAPVN 1001. Very clean copy and in good shape. It has since been released last year by a third party label and if you want to just 'own this on vinyl' then that issue can be found easily for under 30 bucks or so. Pretty much all of the listings you will find online will be for that reissue since it is easy to find and there are a lot of copies out there. However, it's unknown how many copies of this original press are still in the wild and when they do show up in auction they don't come nearly as cheap, as should be expected. It has a nice gatefold and good sound. The bass guitar really sounds nice and meaty on the vinyl compared to my cd. I'd gesture that this may be the best sounding copy out there since reissue companies generally have a tough time gaining access to the original master sources. Overall, not their best album but still a solid effort and a bit underrated.

    Sum 41 - Chuck (2004)

    Sealed

As far as pop-punk goes, this one's pretty good. A bit more politically charged and serious compared to the two albums before it. I'd say this is probably their peak as a group and side with the critics for a change. I'm not sure how many copies exist out there but there appears to only be one pressing out there. Mine is still sealed and virgin/unplayed. A tad of the shrinkwrap is peeled (maybe a inch or two on the back) but it's probably among the best copies still out there.
