It's on sale now for $18.95. That's a little better
-
Also - whiskey
Hell yeah, shot of Jameson for me, please

Sounds like the Defend Youngstown team. I know a few people on that team (socially) but not your friend. If it's any consolation, they were pretty bad. Winning isn't everything but it's close when you're dishing out $45

The blue pressing is the second pressing and came out a year or two ago. I believe the note with the LP explains it. Most places have been out of this LP for quite awhile. Either Interpunk found more or it's just one of those LPs they didn't run out of for awhile. If anyone is dying for one and wants to buy mine, let me know. Also, the first pressing was on clear white back in the day

It really is amazing how poorly some people run their labels. I can only imagine how busy they are but a simple, honest answer to an e-mail will appease the consumer the majority of the time. My recent incident:
I ordered from an international label. They don't really have a webstore, you pretty much have to e-mail them with what you want, they work up the total, etc. So I do that with no problem and we establish that if I order that day (and I did), that they'd ship the records the next day. They were leaving for tour in a week and would be gone for a little while. Well, the records never show up. And I gave it a ton of time since it's international, even though I paid a ton for quick shipping. I try corresponding with the label numerous times and get no response. I allow plenty of time in case they're on tour still. Finally, I have to cover my ass and I get a refund via Paypal
NOW I suddenly get a response. They insisted they mailed them, they swear they wouldn't try to rip me off, they're very sorry the records didn't show up, etc. And I do believe them but they never responded to me, what was I to do? A couple weeks later, the records show up. They were right, they shipped them. But the date was right on the package, they shipped them an entire month after the promised date. So I no longer feel nearly as bad for what happened.
But I still wanted to make things right, so I e-mailed them and offered to pay them back the money. It's only fair, it all worked out in the end. In fact, I offered on three separate occasions. Apparently there was a language barrier because they continued to apologize and offering to send out more records. Very strange.

Don't worry, I drink enough to make up for the both of you.
I used to be a huge comic nerd but sold them all of a few years ago.
Although not a collection, my other passion is baseball. I love to play it and watch it. I'm on four softball teams and I go to about ten Indians games a year. And I'm on a kickball team. It's close enough to baseball and it's not nearly as silly as most people think it is.
Did you play in the local kickball league? My friend Brook did and attempted to talk myself and others into doing it, but it seemed a bit pricey.
I also drink more than should, so I think between the 2 of us we cancel out the sober ohio-ians
Yep, the local league. It's way too pricey without a sponsor. Fall league starts up in a couple weeks, I'm looking forward to it. Any clue what team she was on?

Certainly not the least bit of blaming going on. Just self pity. So it's actually his wife?? Wow, that's absolutely horrible. I'm surprised he's touring at all, although I suppose he still has to make a living.
According to his site, it's already been rescheduled for September 1st, so now I don't even have a reason for the self pity

Ted Leo had to cancel his Cleveland show tonight and I'm incredibly bummed. Anyone who's seen him in concert can understand why. :-[
UPDATE:
New dates are up! Looks like he's making up the cancelled ones. Hell yes.

lol hooray for sober ohioans! The funny thing is, I don't drink.

Adeline found more copies. And jacked the price up accordingly. Anyone else think that's bullshit? Anyways, in case someone needs a sealed one...

Very nice, I need to keep an eye out for this

Today I picked up Springsteen's Born to Run - what a man!
I recommend picking this one up next. It's a classic!

I've got that book. I recommend it as well, it's a fun read

There's a comprehensive Pumpkins discography but the site is down temporarily. It doesn't give numbers but it lists all the pressings. I know the orange isn't the first pressing. I'll post it when it's back up.

I'm most pleased with my Face to Face and Afghan Whigs complete vinyl discographies. I'll buy anything on vinyl by those bands or their related side projects. Same for Alkaline Trio, but their releases aren't hard to find.

Ben, the Ragan/Lucas is available here in case you didn't know. Pretty reasonable

Wow, you guys are quick! Beat me to it. Ordered 'em all! (well, except black. Yawn)

it is a bummer. they only put out the falcon on vinyl right? I guess you have to be 2/3rds of the lawrence arms to get on vinyl. but, yeah, I would also like to see asian man release the older lawrence arms.
No, they also did the Methadones and the Riptides on vinyl. I highly recommend the Methadones LP. It's all covers of primarily 70s power pop and it's awesome. Both albums still in print

I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but I ordered it yesterday -

Also got in on the Art of the Underground 7" series ... I need to really stop spending money...
that's a pretty old box set, but it's very good.

I don't blame you. If it was my first experience, it'd probably be my last as well

He's actually a really good dude, I think too many of us hit him with the same question at once. I think he's just venting about non-payers. Anyone who's sold on eBay before knows the feeling. Waste of time and money. Anyways, I vouch for this guy, he's been super helpful on this release and others, despite how that e-mail looks on its own.

come on, for a band as big as alkaline trio to release vinyl with colors limited to 20 is somewhat crazy, and hard to believe. Maybe it could be like 200 for blue and 500 on green, instead of 20 and 50.
I just dont see where anyone has found any hard facts because i searched everywhere the other day for pressing info.
Oh well
I'm trying to but them all and one source gave me all the colors available and the pressing info. I don't have enough faith in it to post it at this point.

There is definitely a mustard yellow color. And I've been told there's both clear green and opaque green. Again, there's a lot of info floating around and some of it seems to be suspect at this point

Most of the questions in the COTM feature have their own thread anyways. There's even been a thread where people posted pictures of their collections. I'm not knocking the feature at all but when I read a new one, it usually just feels like a recap of what I've read in various threads. So hopefully nobody feels too slighted if they don't get picked since they can post the same info in the threads. Just my two cents.
