  1. It was on Traffic Street. Dirt Cult might be repressing it at some point with Dead Broke...
  2. Thanks for the orders! Rumspringer color vinyl is halfway gone. There is a good possibility it will sell out today. Don't snooze!
  3. Preorders are up for all three of these records as of 5 minutes ago. These will be officially out on June 18th but preorders will be sent download codes as soon as I see it/am on a computer/have a code in front of me... www.dirtcultrecords.com RUMSPRINGER - STAY AFLOAT LP Raw, visceral punk. At first listen, it's a collage of Northern California/Chicago-based punk bands with a palpable energy that's neither disturbingly lacking in production nor ripping off idols. The subject matter is both devastating and uplifting, in a strangely comforting way. Rumspringer has been and remains one of my favorite current bands, and I'm happy to be releasing this, their second LP. Limited to 100 color copies (mailorder only) and 100 European only copies available soon from Drunken Sailor Records (though I did put 10 up in the US store just in case Americans want a copy) DAYLIGHT ROBBERY - DISTANT SHORES 7" Dark and melodic punk rock from Chicago. This three piece often gets compared to X (LA) with a bit less of that bluesy rock n roll vibe. And while I'd say that's a cop-out (yeah yeah, dualing male-female vocals), it's incredibly accurate. This is a split release with Poison City for the band's Australian tour in July. Printed on 3 different colors of vinyl. You can stream a track here BRAIN ATTACK - BRAIN ATTACK 7" Absolutely raging female fronted "old-school" hardcore from Austin. Members of Wiccans, Sex Advice, Rats & Birds, Debt, Hairdos on Fire and more. Limited to 330 on black.
  4. Streaming on Punk News! I'll begin packing up preorders tomorrow: http://www.punknews.org/article/51741/streams-sundowners-the-larger-half-of-wisdom-exclusive
  5. Another song premiere. This time, it's "Heavy Cards" on The Punk Site. http://thepunksite.com/news/2013/05/20/exclusive-sundowners-heavy-cards/
  6. FUR COATS – Goddamn, I’m a Handsome Man 7″ out now! Follow up to their debut Don’t Make Me Beg 7″ released last year on Dirt Cult. Fur Coats is an amazing Chicago power pop band from people who have brought you bands like Das Kapital, The Traitors, No Empathy, Devon Kay & the Sollutions, and Direct Hit!…among others. I dare you to put this on and not jump around the room. Comes with a download code. Stream/Download it here: http://dirtcultrecords.bandcamp.com/album/goddamn-im-a-handsome-man Or order it from our site here: www.dirtcultrecords.com If you've preordered the Sundowners LP and want to add this please get in touch at [email protected]
  7. SUNDOWNERS - THE LARGER HALF OF WISDOM LP Sundowners (not to be confused with Sundowner) is a DIY punk band from Minneapolis that’s been around since 2006. They’ve released Gnome & Glacier LP and a S/T 7″ on Dirt Cult Records in the past, so I’ve obviously been a fan forever, but this record still blew my expectations out of the water. Urgent and complicated melodic punk that will get stuck in your head for days. Seriously, I listened to this to about 4 weeks straight before I finally decided I should put on another record. FFO Frozen Teens, Future Virgins, Toys that Kill, etc. The LP is scheduled for release on May 26th, but I’m hoping that preorders can be sent out earlier (so long as everything goes according to plan with the plant…which is somewhat unpredictable these days). Limited to 100 on color vinyl. Stream a song here: http://newnoisemagazine.com/exclusiv...world-country/ Order here: www.dirtcultrecords.com
  8. Trying to raise some cash so I can press some records. Got some stuff up that ends soon plus I just added some Dirt Cult test pressings (Shark Pants, Shang-A-Lang, Turkish Techno, Low Culture, Earthmen & Strangers/Far Corners). http://www.ebay.com/sch/chris.dirtcult/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686
  9. Brooklyn Vegan premiered the band's video for Colours today. Check it: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2013/04/watch_big_dicks.html
  10. Unpacked the last box of these and found 10 green ones at the very bottom. They are up in the store. This is most certainly the last batch of limited edition ones I'll put up in the store.
  11. New Noise magazine is streaming a track off of Sundowners - The Larger Half of Wisdom LP which will be out May 26th on Dirt Cult Records. Check it out, this song rips. As does the entire record! http://newnoisemagazine.com/exclusive-stream-sundowners-bird-world-country/
  12. Thats part of my disto yeah. Thanks for saying nice things about my band We're playing trainyard on Monday. You can sneak out while the kid is sleeping. Introduce yourself...I'm likely the dude always taking your money.
  13. Hey guys Low Culture is back and we've smuggled some back into the country with us. Only current US distro to have these is Dirt Cult and they're going fast: www.dirtcultrecords.com
  14. Just enearthed 3 more green copies and put them up in the store. Also here is a nice thing Brooklyn Vegan said: "It's hard to talk about Ottawa, Ontario bass/drum duo Big Dick (named after the song by post-hardcore wizards NoMeansNo) without referencing another Canadian bass/drum duo, Death From Above 1979. They share DFA1979's relentless energy, stabbing rhythms, and distorted bass riffage, but they do it punkier and noisier, not unlike fellow Canucks METZ (who they've shared bills with). And they do it with a Japandroids-style 2-piece-that-sounds-like-a-5-piece level of power. If you're fans of any of the aforementioned bands or any type of melodically abrasive post-punk and noise rock, do yourself a favor and give Big Dick a listen. Their self titled debut full length comes out next week (2/19) via Dirt Cult Records and it's one of the most impressive debuts I've heard this year so far."
  15. last day to take advantage of this!
  16. I'm in the process of changing webstores and have actually gotten through a bit chunk of stuff. However, I'm realizing I have more stuff than I need/want to put up for sale in the new store and I need to clear some space. So through next Wednesday, if you buy $25 or more from the store, I'll give you $25 or more worth of free records. Basically, buy 2 LPs and a 7" and I'll throw in 2 LPs and a 7" (my choice) www.dirtcultrecords.com
  17. Free MP3, a video, and a nice write up from Brookyln Vegan http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2013/02/stream_big_dick.html
  18. So my webstore has been having a lot of checkout errors lately and I've grown completely tired of it, so I've decided to switch store fronts. The new store is up and running (though right now only Dirt Cult Releases are in there. I'll be adding distro titles in the coming days/weeks): http://dirtcultrecords.storenvy.com/ and of course you can still access it by going to www.dirtcultrecords.com and clicking on "store" Sorry if you were one of the the people that were trying to check out but couldn't...
  19. I can't stop listening to it. Seriously, by far the best thing they've ever done. Arrived at Rainbo yesterday. Out in a few months...
  20. Thanks everyone! All orders are either packed up and going tomorrow or have already been shipped. (except for those of you who did E-checks. waiting for them to clear. And perhaps someone ordered two copies of Big Dick and two copies of The Oh-Sees? Hit me up...I only have one copy of The Oh See's record. Trying to figure out if you want me to refund you or want something else. Haven't returned my email)
  21. down to about 30 green...(even though the site says I have a bit more...gotta fix that). Plenty of black copies obviously.
