  1. If you want any wholesale copies hit me up: [email protected] Gonna Skype with these guys tonight to gameplan how to make sure people in Canada have access to this thing
  2. Sending out 10 black copies to Hosehead Records today, so for Canadian's that wanna save a few bucks...that may be the way to go.
  3. Perhaps the easier way to see what you like is this: http://dirtcultrecords.bandcamp.com/
  4. Muhammadali - S/T LP was the reason the band approached me about doing the record. Weird DIY punk that maybe in akin to old Flaming Lips and Butthole Surfers. That Shark Pants 7" is pretty great as well. Spastic garage rock. Autonomy LP is like The Mob meets the Cure. I dunno...it's kind of hard to recommend bands that sound like them, because I'm not sure that anyone does. We do have a tape from fellow Ottawa punks Crusades. Otherwise, there is a ton of killer stuff in the distro but I'm not sure what you're into...
  5. By the way, I've been talking to some people in Canada and they are telling me that shipping within Canada is anywhere from $8 to $14 per LP. Seems like US prices have just kind of caught up to you guys...
  6. Can't argue with that. It really sucks. The new postage prices are threatening to kill independent labels. What I suggest is see if there is anything else in the distro you want to try to offset shipping costs. Or matybe try to get one from the band directly...
  7. Yes. This...for international orders. With the new postage hikes I felt like this would be the fairest way to go about things. For US orders shipping is still $4 flat rate regardless of how much you order.
  8. BIG DICK - S/T LP streaming now on Scene Point Blank and available for Pre-Order "Big Dick are a drum & bass due from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (you know, how of pretty much all of the best bands of the past few years). Named after the belligerent and bass-heavy Nomeansno song, Big Dick have cultivated their sound that borders on progressive punk/post-hardcore tendencies, while also gravitating towards both the melodic and absurdly heavy. This band is equally at ease with their penchant for 90′s era Canadian indie rock as they are with punk, hardcore, and noise rock bands of the last three decades." STREAM IT HERE: http://www.scenepointblank.com/news/records/spb-exclusive-stream-big-dick-st/ ORDER IT HERE (there is limited mailorder only green marble vinyl available as well) www.dirtcultrecords.com Offically out on Feb 19th, but preorders will ship before then.
  9. Yo this is streaming now: http://www.punknews.org/article/50210/streams-low-culture-screens
  10. Got just a couple more color copies left if anyone is interested.
  11. Available now at www.dirtcultrecords.com When nightly news outpaces political satire, when death and despair are merely filler between ads for erection pills, the world is ready for Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children MacNuggits. The mutant offspring of poisonous pop culture, truth-to-power punk rock and button-pushing standup comedy, guitarist Dan Abbott and vocalist Corbett Redford watch from the deck of civilization’s sinking ship… and laugh. The band began in 1995 as an acoustic duo, becoming unlikely antiheroes in the DIY underground with raw social satire, catchy-as-heck melodies and high-energy performances. After nearly a decade hiatus, the band reformed in 2009, joined by a rhythm section consisting of bassist Sean McTiernan and drummer Josh Wharton (both of Mystic Knights of the Cobra), and second guitarist Craig Billmeier (guitarist for Love Songs, Conquest For Death, What Happens Next?, and also known as internationally renowned air guitarist “Hot Lixx Hulahan”). Since then, the band has toured and recorded relentlessly, with a catalogue of releases and music videos unheard of for an independent act. Difficult to categorize, awkward on a flyer, and impossible to forget, the “pretty songs about terrible things” of Bobby Joe Ebola have become the soundtrack of the “Great Recession” & civilization’s “Slow Apocalypse”. The band continues to make appearances both as the traditional acoustic duo and with with the full band lineup. Dirt Cult is happy to be handling the vinyl release of their new LP Trainwreck to Narnia with Rooftop Comedy is handling the CD and digital distrobution. Tracklisting: 1. After the Armadillo 2. Vanilla American 3. Blues Turn Brown 4. Cop Kisser 5. Biological Imperative 6. My Darling Boo 7. Backed Beans & Whiskey 8. Walk in the Crosswalk 9. Bone Dagger 10. Censor the Word 11. Hey Everybody! 12. Last Child Soldier Check out their latest video for “Blues Turn Brown”
  12. Its at the top of the thread: www.dirtcultrecords.com
  13. I have about 5 orange copies left. So order now I guess...
  14. I'm still waiting on the art, but I do have the masters for their new LP in hand!
  15. Since there was an overrun, all orders are packed up and I have about 20 color copies left. Order now if you want one!
  16. I actually just finished packing up preorders and have a few left. You should just email me rather than spending a ton a color copy. [email protected]
  17. After some slight delays this record is finally ready…just in time to sorta kinda maybe be considered a 2012 release… Every time a band releases a new record, both the band and label putting it our are going to say it’s their “best yet.” But hey, Dan Padilla sent me this record long before Dirt Cult even knew who was putting it out and I was saying it then. I’ve got the e-mails to prove it. Plain and simple, this is melodic and heartfelt DIY punk from some of the most genuine dudes you’ll ever meet. Color copies sold out in preorder, but this shit is tight regardless of the color of the record. (Comes with a digital download.) Available in Itunes and pretty much every digital retailer as well. www.dirtcultrecords.com Also newish: Occult Detective Club - Alright Gentlemen 7" Wide Angles - Smile More LP Big Eyes - Hard Life tape
  18. From Dirtnap: "Low Culture - Screens LPs are here, and we’ve decided to start selling them a little in advance of the release date. (Release date for digital remains 01/09/13, and we’ll be streaming the LP in it’s entirety at that time) Debut LP! Scrappy, melodic garagepunk from Las Cruces, NM. Features members of The Marked Men and Shang-A-Lang, and pretty much sounds like a cross between the 2 bands! Recorded in Ft. Worth by Mark Ryan (Marked Men/Mind Spiders), mastered in Ottawa by Dave Williams (Steve Adamyk Band/Crusades, etc). First 200 are on BLUE vinyl and available only from www.greennoiserecords.com, or at the shop! UP NEXT: Mean Jeans/Big Eyes split 7" UP NEXT AFTER THAT: Steve Adamyk Band - Third LP" And here's a tight review: http://www.sugarbuzzmagazine.com/?p=6751
  19. Color vinyl is about halfway gone on all these preorder releases...thanks for the orders!
