  1. Cool thanks! Rumspringer tape coming as soon as they get their shit together...so never? Maybe...
  2. SundownerS They get confused a lot I guess. I've never heard Sundowner. ...with that said, Sundowners is totally better
  3. Oh shit, I forgot to mention, I'll be sending download links pretty much immediately to anyone who preorders...so there's that. In the meantime, you can check all these releases out at: www.dirtcultrecords.bandcamp.com Word
  4. I have three records currently up for preorder in the Dirt Cult Store (www.dirtcultrecoreds.com/store). You can preorder them individually, or save a bit of money by ordering them as a package. They will ship in August. If you're into these records and you're want color copies I suggest preordering, because these are going pretty quickly (I know, I know, everyone says that).... SUNDOWNERS - S/T 7" Follow up to their great (and extremely underappreciated) LP on Dirt Cult a few years ago, Sundowners play hooky DIY punk for fans of bands like Frozen Teens, Future Virgins, and The Bananas. This is somehow better than the LP. Art by Justin Francis. First 100 on opaque yellow. MUHAMAMMADALI - S/T 12" This Houston band has been around forever, but aside from their recent split with Unfun on A.D.D. records, hasn't done any official releases. I've like them for a while, but the absolutely floored me at last year's Awesome Fest, prompting me to immediately seek them out and ask them to do a record. I think these dudes do a lot of drugs. Imagine old Flaming Lips and Butthole Surfers mixed with Hickey, but not the poppy side of Hickey that most bands tend to emulate...more like the wacked out stoner stuff that I always sorta prefered. First 100 on translucent yellow. AUTOMONY - THE ART OF WORK IN THE AGE OF DIGITAL REPRODUCTION LP Dark and atomospheric anarcho-punk. This shit sounds like Joy Division and The Mob all at the same time. They're from Carbondale and feature local hero Ray Suburbia. Honestly, though this is pretty far removed from a lot of other Dirt Cult releases, I think it is in my top 5 favorites. First 100 on translucent blue These new releases are also shipping now! CRUSADES - THE SUN IS DOWN AND THE NIGHT IS RIDING IN TAPE LOW CULTURE - DEMO TAPE (repress) Also coming in time for Awesome Fest: MARKED MEN - S/T Tape (split with Dirtnap) MARKED MEN - ON THE OUTSIDE Tape (split with Dirtnap) MARKED MEN - FIX MY BRAIN Tape (split with Dirtnap) MARKED MEN - GHOSTS Tape (split with Dirtnap) RUMSPRINGER - DISCOGRAPHY Tape Also coming pretty soon: OCCULT DETECTIVE CLUB - ALRIGHT GENTLEMEN 7" FEAR OF LIPSTICK - SEASONS Tape MENTALLY VEXED 7" (Dave from Crusades/Sedatives/Steve Adamyk Band's hardcore solo project) www.dirtcultrecords.com

Lots of punk/indie/hardcore/garage stuff from labels like Deranged, Douchmaster, Dirtnap, No Idea, Asian Man, Merge, Matardor, Dischord, Fat, Prank, Kill Rock Stars, Sub Pop, Kill Rock Stars, Havoc, In the Red, 1234 Go!, Paper and Plastik, Bridge Nine, 625 Thrash, and more. Check it out! Buy some stuff! Help me make room for a ton of upcoming releases.
  10. After 5 years of splits, EPs, and comp. tracks, GEG finally lay down a full-length record of all new material! God Equals Genocide encapsulate the-over-the top fucktastic jackassery of having the time of your life with your friends while constantly getting pissed off by the state of the world. They’re, at times, vulnerable but never sentimental, angry but hardly bitter. With unrelenting dual male and female vocals, thrashy riffage, fist-pumping melodies, and cowboy chord sing-along breakdowns they provide a respite from the unoriginal and unenthused. Rattled Minds sounds like worlds falling apart, while worlds are being created. Sort of like life. Imperfect, beautiful, disappointing, fractured, irreducible, wonderful life. GEG is a punk band. With melody. With shambolic, effervescent spirit. LP includes a bonus EP from their alterego group, Dumbag Daryl & the GEG Bags. Split release with Razorcake Records. FIRST 50 ON BUBBLEGUM PINK VINYL (going fast...about 15 left as of making this post) Available at www.dirtcultrecords.com or www.razorcake.org
  11. This will be out on Dirt Cult/Dead Broke/Rad Girlfriend/Drunken Sailor in May. In the meantime, check it out if you'd like: http://dirtcultrecords.bandcamp.com/album/low-culture-s-t-7
  12. Several of which are sitting in a customs office somewhere...
  13. The Magnificent are a punk rock trio from West Yorkshire, England. They just toured the US with The Bomb. I think they sound like Billy Bragg, Smalltown, Ringers, The Clash, and so on. When I heard these recordings I jumped at the opportunity to put this out and am extremely excited for this record is finally available! From the band: “There is a lot of global unrest at the moment, and people of our generation don’t know what to do with their lives. This album is about how a generation struggles to emulate the feats of their parents, ‘the baby boomers’. Everyone is poor these days and everyone struggles to meet the cost of living. The album is about being born into a world ruled by economics that no-one truly understands or has control of. ” Tracklist 1. 1981 2. Foreign Legion 3. Song For Lauren 4. Working Men’s Club (Part 3) 5. Hold My Drink Up High 6. BBQ & Grasshoppers 7. Longshot 8. Buy More Crap 9. Walk A Mile In My Jeans 10. King Of The Denim Jackets Jimmy Islip: Vocals / Bass Guitar Matt Colmer: Vocals / Guitar Charlie Batten: Drums US: dirtcultrecords.com UK: drunkensailorrecords.co.uk Japan: eagerbeaver.shop-pro.jp CD available at: jsntgm.com STREAM IT HERE: http://dirtcultrecords.bandcamp.com/
  14. begrudgingly agreed...as a favor to me punk news review: http://www.punknews.org/review/10873
  15. Beat you http://vinylcollective.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=70068
  16. There was nothing unfair about this 7". The labels knew we were breaking up but had just recorded the last of our material. They happily agreed to release it...
  17. SHANG-A-LANG - WAITING FOR THE END I suppose somewhat appropriately Shang-A-Lang's last record of new material, titled"Waiting for the End" will be released on the first week of what many consider the last year of human existance. Shang-A-Lang has been an incredibly prolific band over the past few years, having done countless splits (really, I can't count them), several 7 inches, an LP/CD, and a Collections LP. The release is between 7 labels that have helped the band out in various ways over the past several years: Dirt Cult, Fast Crowd, Silver Sprocket, Dead Broke, Let's Pretend, No Breaks, and Drunken Sailor (UK). Each label will have 118 copies. These five songs are probably the best SAL material to date, which kinda makes the break-up bittersweet. Featuring the amazing artwork by Mich Clem and Nation of Amanda! You can get it from the following labels sites: www.dirtcultrecords.com www.deadbrokerecords.com www.silversprocket.net www.fastcrowdrecords.com www.nobreaksrecords.com www.letspretendrecords.com www.drunkensailorrecords.bigcartel.com (UK)
  18. Today I was reflecting on the past year and the crazy amount of amazing (at least in my mind) records that Dirt Cult has put out. Plus, I've basically emptied out my paypal account to pay for upcoming releases this week and I've got a ton more on the way (everything has hit at once)! I'll give every single release (minus the tapes) of 2011 for $60ppd until the end of the year. You'd get: Fur Coats - Don't Make Me Beg 7" Crow Bait - Three Tickle Guys 7" Peer Precious - Bless this Mess LP Shang-A-Lang/Rumspringer - Split 7" Turkish Techno - Past Due LP Shit Creek - Scene Cred is Our Name 7" Daylight Robbery/Defect Defect/Foreign Objects - Split LP Libyans/God Equals Genocide - Split 7" The Credentials - Goocher LP Carnivores - German Flower 7" Dan Padilla - As the Ox Plows LP/CD Foreign Objects - A Kind of Life 7" The Scrams - Zodak 7" Shang-A-Lang/Broken Mountain - Split 7" That's a lot of records for not a lot of money. Paypal: [email protected] I can only do a few of these, and then I'm out of the GEG/Libyans splits. Then I'll just start refunding a few bucks and sending the rest...
  19. Yeah really do want to see them live...was listening to this over and over again last night while assembling them and looked up plane tickets to Ian's Party...but I can't do that sorta last minute shit in 2012...I'll be going broke putting out records and traveling with my own band. But yeahm Chicago people, Fur Coats will definately have copies for Ian's Party in early January...
  20. This is the debut from Chicago powerhouse, Fur Coats, featuring members of Das Kapital, Direct Hit!, No Empathy, The Traitors, etc. I got sent these songs, immediately fell in love, and screamed “I’ll do it!” These songs carry on the great tradition of melodic Chicago punk, and the hooks will get stuck in your head for days. Don’t believe me? Stream the record here: http://thefurcoats.bandcamp.com/ Limited to 300 on black vinyl! www.dirtcultrecords.com
  21. Oh how I long for the day when all my records would fit in a 3x3 shelf like this. What am I doing with my life?
