  1. Tis kinda long, but the taste of it has got me. On the record: nothing like a fucking cigarette. But the taste of the menthol cartridges that I got with this Green Smoke are really, really nice I think. I haven't had a REAL cigarette in 2 days now, and I feel like I'm dying for one, but this thing is kinda cool. "Smoking" in the house for the first time.
  2. Ok. so I just got my "green smoke" electric cigarette in the mail today, not sure how I REALLY feel about it yet, but I think it might help me out in cutting down and eventually quitting smoking. I'll be giving it a shot in the morning.
  3. It's so true, extremely valid point. I want to use the filters to step down from 8 mg to eventually 0 mg of nicotine. However, the routine of doing it is going to be my biggest obstacle. I sing a lot and have been smoking close to a pack a day for 2 years. I would love to go cold turkey, but I'm seriously not man enough to do it.
  4. Hahaha, touche my friend. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_cigarette
  5. Who's got one? What do you think of it? What kind do you have? I want to try this to ease off on the real thing because I'm not man enough to give it the boot yet, but I'm hoping this will REALLY help. Thoughts?
  6. Someone booted it to the youtubez and it's loads better IMO
  7. If I am not mistaken, the 180 gram copies of Dude Ranch had some sort of different labels from the others...can anyone verify this with a pic? Both MTS pressings.
  8. Sorry this is late David and I hope your show goes well tonight, our band has been spray painting shirts from day one. Foam board works ok, but soaks up after a while. I'd get the heaviest display/poster board you can find, and try cutting 2 stencils at once. Here's some examples from years ago to a design we used 2 months ago. You can do some cool stuff with spray paint and stencils if you take your time.
  9. I do 8 shows a year in Fredericksburg, VA at local libraries. Normally they fall on the second Friday of the month, depending on what month I'm given by the librarians. Fredericksburg, VA is located half way between DC and Richmond off of I-95. Contact: Thomas ([email protected]) Great thread Robert.
  10. Hey buddy! It was in Locust Grove, VA in a development called Lake of the Woods. Really nice place, just felt really out of place there. And it's super cool that they were able to put it on, more kids and developments should do that around there. I book at a local library 6 times a year, and those shows are always killer. If you ever know of anyone that does house shows/basement style things in your neck of the woods, send us their way!
  11. Tonight my band played a battle of the bands three counties away from where we live. I know that's a very High School sounding statement, however there are not a lot of places in our town specifically to play for all ages/cheap/punk shows. Anyways, a month or so ago we get asked to play this show, later finding out its a battle of the bands in this really huge, HUGE (cannot stress how HUGE this place was) gated communities community center. We get lost trying to find it inside the gates of the community. We finally find it after 25 minutes of cruising around the place then got unloaded. We ended up placing third, with a pretty decent cash prize, which was cool considering we played second and didn't move a ton of merch. Every show we play feels better than the last, and it was extremely cool to get such a good reaction from people outside of our town. But it's still bugging me out that we played a show in a gated community. Not punk. Whatever. (However, it is pretty awesome that it happened). I was also blown away at how not very nice the other bands were to us. We weren't from around there, but it's cool to be cordial. It's like no one was interested in trying to enrich their scene or ours by interacting/exchanging info/networking to get more/better shows, or shows that aren't battle of the bands for that matter. Anyways, I had an awesome night regardless. Most definitely the weirdest show we've played. Well, that might not be true, but it's the first show we've played in a gated community. Anyone else in a band and play in a weird/strange place???? Story time. and go!
  12. Last time I had a problem, it took Andy a few days to get to me, but had it fixed in ship shape. Patience is hard friend, but don't worry it should get straightened out soon.
  13. My pops is a mail man so he's psyched. I'm cool to hang out on the weekends now.
