Just wondering if I should invest the time now, or if it could probably wait.

Realized how little of the Braid discog I have I vinyl. I can get all of the 7" from Discogs for more than fair prices, but I'm tempted to just go with both Movie Music Volumes. I can get them both, and Age of Octeen from Polyvinyl for 46 shipped. What do?

Is it worth my time?

Is there a stream set up or did you guys already get your pre-order copies?

Almost all first wave punk bands blow, and modern street punk bands are the lamest. Why are people still trying?

I like them, because I grew up with them, but I respect this.

SNL was also bad

Saw St. Vincent on a re-run of SNL last night and that was awful.

But bands despised being thrown into the emo camp, until the emo revival come along. Now's everyone's emo. I wouldn't be upset with somebody calling a band emo. It's just a genre. But when a band calls themselves emo, it's like they're aming for a niche, or attempting to appeal to a specific crowd. It's just dumb to me. Just make fucking music and let other people decide what it is.

Seriously, I agree with you. If I like a band, I don't care what people call them. I just don't like when a band defines themselves as something that specific. It's limiting their audience, almost like they only want to exist to repeat what people have already done. Like a cover band, kinda.

Indie Rock, Alt, Pop Punk, Power-Pop, Hardcore, something a little less pretentious and broad.
