  1. I saw on twitter they said to watch for a coupon code on record store day, they also e-mailed me a 15% off coupon...does anyone think that this is the same coupon that will be tweeted on RSD or perhaps a better one will be tweeted?
  2. hot topic exclusive red is now up: http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Music/Vinyl/The+Used+-+Imaginary+Enemy+Vinyl+LP+Hot+Topic+Exclusive-10168442.jsp

  4. yes it is and that is awesome to hear, thank you very much travis. i appreciate it
  5. i have not yet seen this varient in any HT store or on the website. do you have any futher information about it? like if it was delayed or cancelled? thanks.
  6. you completely misinterpeted that, he would be fine with music being free. he was stated that their are just a bunch of tools out that that are making money on others music for no reason and they dont deserve it. very smart revolutionary man he is.
  7. lol same here. TBS smashed white/red also had similar issues...i guess whatever company hopeless hired to press these is not good at smashing colors...my splatter was very splattery and nice but the smashed to had very little red, just one smaller size stipe on each size and then very faint on the onside dge. much like yours. they did say the photo was only a mockup.
  8. the album is up on pandora and the used youtube channel....really really really good album.
  9. not so much that musicians dont get paid enough but that so many people that make so much of the money from music have nothing to do with music...and hes all about giving music out for free, the used even started their 2nd self-owned record label (first being anger music group) called 'gas union' (give a shit) which is the first ever free music label. only reason new album is not release on it is because of a contract with hopeless...but future releases will....
  10. lol, I even thought that a clear version with red splatter would of been awesome.
  11. (the color varients of imaginary enemy: (1) red/black splatter - merchnow (2) red/black smashed - merchnow (3) opague red - hot topic (4) standard black - amazon and everywhere else > has anyone heard about any other color varients of this record? if so please share the color and location... .
  12. i found this while browsing ebay...20,000 records for $20,000...depending on condition that could be a good deal. if someone had the money and time, a pretty large profit could be made, eh? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-20-000-Long-Play-Vinyl-Assorted-Collectors-Records-Albums-In-Covers-/111273391987?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item19e8693773
  13. ok, cool. some stuff is really minor and easy to miss. I thought of these things but an example of what confused me most and made me need to ask is when I bought 2 of the used self titled albums on vinyl from amazon. (2009 and 2012 releases). the 2009 pressing was listed as reprise records and the 2012 pressing was listed as hi-horse records. which is a lie. because when they arrived in the mail. I am 100% sure everything about them was exactly the same. the barcode, the catalog number, the record label (reprise), and everything viewable without opening it was the exact same. and I just couldn't understand why it was listed as a different pressing (especially since the previous did not sell out). I was positive there was no difference between the 2 and returned 1 of them. same thing happened a 2nd time to me with a different album and that is why I needed to ask, just to see if a was missing or overlooking something. but I did check for all those things so I just don't know what I missed if there was any difference...
  14. I got into vinyl a few years back and continue to get into vinyl even more...I see a lot about 1st pressings, 2nd pressings, an even 3rd pressings or more of some records. I assume it means when they sell out, they press more records and its gets the name 2nd pressing. with CDs I a sure they made more after the first batch sold out but there was never any talk about another batch or collection purpose for a earlier or later batch. but I see a lot of collectors talk about collecting multiple pressings of the same record...sometimes on a different label or a different color and its easy to see the difference. but with some pressings I have no idea how to tell the difference. I like to buy multiple varients of my top favorite albums so I would like to be knowledgable about different pressings. I had bought 2 different pressings of the same record from amazon, they were released 3 years apart but when they arrived they were literally the exactly the same from the barcode and all. and I was just thinking huh? so I was wondering how to tell the difference between 1st and 2nd pressings of an record that have not had a change from the first pressing to the 2nd pressing? is there a reason vinyl collectors go after multiple pressings that have no noticable difference? example- I see a first and second pressing of deja entendu on ebay but they look the exact same and appear to have no difference. thanks in advance for any assistance
