Arrived today! Weird sleeve choice with the open back, and all 4 have minor seam-splits, but happy to have em!

I honestly don't understand why, if they weren't going to come sealed in the first place, the records weren't removed from the outer sleeves before shipping.  I got 3 of the 4, and all 3 have bad seam splits.  Just careless.

I put a “Bull Moose” order in,

just in case I am unable to secure a limited one from his website.

Will the Bull Moose version be a completely different “pressing” of the album?

It will be a standard retail version; a lot of shops will get it.  How many they get, though, sounds like a big question mark right now.  I think Bullmoose is just being cautious because they have had to eat humble pie a few times within the past few years and cancel a bunch of orders when they oversell their allocation.

As for pressing, I know the standard MFFF was still 45rpm/180g, but I don't think there was a deluxe of that release.  I would expect all versions of O to be 45rpm/180g given that, but I don't have any confirmation.

They told me they are limiting one per household because they are likely to oversell due to high interest and inquires since last year.

Damn I am torn on this.  I really want this album, but I also have to say I think we've all noticed a strong trend in vinyl lately where new releases are roughly halved in price on Amazon, etc. within a few months.  I wish buying vinyl didn't feel like such a gamble all the time.

What up with this for Distant Worlds II?

    Item Under Review

This item is currently unavailable because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

I ordered a copy and they ended up shipping me a copy of DW1 (returned it).  I think maybe they did that to enough people that there were complaints to fix the item listing.

Dude, I'm beyond bummed I missed this. This has been #1 on my want list for a vinyl pressing for the better part of ten years now. It's not the coolest that they used the Roland version instead of the IBM chip version, but it's amazing it finally happened anyway. I gotta keep a better eye out for stuff like this.

    Username checks out.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I trust Moonshake to do bootlegs properly because of his track record, but I guess I am wary to plop down this much cash for something like this since there is no guarantee of quality control.  I'd hate to get it and have it be horribly off-center and warbling the whole time.  If it were cheaper I might take a shot but I think it's too steep as-is for the gamble.

I guess it helps that F-Zero was a game I played only a little as a kid.

    OH FRICK

    F Zero release.

    $41 to US after shipping.

Never heard of this site until now. I randomly saw this on instagram and it looks like this is their first release.

    It looks amazing.

This is probably a bootleg, right?

Golf Story through Fan Gamer for anyone interested. Packaging looks cool and green vinyl is a nice touch.

I actually seem to recall really liking the soundtrack on this, even though it was very beep-boopy with some deep bass.  I actually really like the shirt as well, although the reference is so obscure within an already obscure game that I'd say there's about a 90% chance I would go through it's entire lifecycle without anyone understanding it.  Count me as a maybe.

For anyone wondering about Final Fantasy Distant Worlds sound quality, it's terrible. Disks came scuffed up and full of paper debris and the sound distorts at higher volumes. And it seems like a universal problem.

It wasn't universal for me.  I cut my DW1 records right out of the paper sleeves since I was worried they were being damaged upon removal for most people, then gave them a clean before spinning them.  I had no scratching or paper debris.  Side B was pressed slightly off-center but it isn't audible to me in my copy, just a tiny side-to-side on the tonearm.  And pitch warble is something I am normally very sensitive to / frustrated by.
