Best of luck with the interview Tina!
thanks! this job would be in Redmond, WA. I was hoping to stay in SF but I'd definitely take it if I got an offer.

Only one episode in on The Mick but I also agree that it's funny.
also just shattered my iphone screen and pretty bummed out. maybe it's for the best. I have a big interview i should be studying for and i need to focus. now i'll be super bummed if i don't get the job. i'm at the point where i'm so stressed out that I can't really sleep at night because i really want this job.

6" or more of snow at my house right now...Portland is not prepared for this.
hopefully you don't have to leave the house. Snow is always best when you don't have to drive in it

I started watching the netflix show, Crazyhead. plotline seemed unoriginal but the jokes have been pretty good. i think i'm into it. I need to watch a little more though before i know what i feel

I think Mackenzie Davis is so wonderful Halt and Catch fire is so enjoyable! The first season was a bit rocky for me, but two and three were real strong start to finish. Glad that AMC gave it a fourth and final season too!
IT'S ENDING????? noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

New season was pretty much all duds except San Junipero. Not sure what it was, but something's missing with the Netflix ones.
oooh actually i did skip ahead and just watch that one because it has the girl from Halt and Catch Fire. it was a pretty good episode. loved the concept. also, Halt and Catch Fire is a great show.

I'm always late to the party but finally going through Black Mirror because I remember everyone talking about White Christmas in here.
I just finished that episode and it is bubble gum rainbows compared to White Bear which is easily one of the most stressful mind fucks I've experienced in a long time.
Amazing.
that episode made me nauseous. amazing writing though, it really messed me up. I have to watch that show when i'm in the right head space. Still haven't finished the new season.

I will do my best to report back. I'm watching one a day, so I should be done on Wednesday. I've heard the ending is silly, which intrigues me more oddly enough.
the ending is exactly what i wanted to discuss... that's all i'm gonna say as of now lol

I'm 3 episodes into The OA and plan on watching #4 later tonight. I like it, but I don't love it. Her and the director did a movie called Sound of My Voice that I really liked, so I'm giving it more of a chance than I probably would otherwise.
This is the second year that I've rung in the NY with my dog. He doesn't go nuts over fireworks, which makes it a little easier, haha!
Sounds like a wonderful position to be in!
i think my dog is deaf... she doesn't bark anymore. since i've been back a month ago, i have not heard any barking. poor thing
let me know what you think of OA once you're done. i stayed up all night and binged the whole season.

I did Chinese food on Christmas (and just finished my leftovers yesterday). I'm starting my hunker down too.
Pizza is on the way for me!
I have 1/3rd of my Christmas whiskey (Basil Hayden's) left over. I'm going to tap into it once I eat.
Happy New Year everyone! I'm going to spend my night drinking on the couch and chilling with my dog.
it'll be the first new years where my dog and i are apart but i'll see her tomorrow. she's living with my brother temporarily.

i paid a really cheap price from SF to OKC but there were 3 stops and it took all day. In the future I'll just pay extra. it was ridiculous.

I am tired... exhausted really. Trying to stay healthy and avoid the flu outbreak in NYC
I got a really really bad cold a few months back and then i started taking Emergen-C and it has made a huge difference. I'm always surrounded by my sister's kids and they are full of germs but i'm still strong.

Day 2 of being 30: As a kid and a teenager I always thought I'd have my shit together and be "normal" by the time I was 30. At 20 I never thought 10 years later I'd spend a night drinking and listening to Trophy Scars. Hell, when I was 10 I thought I'd have a "real" job, a house, a wife, and a kid by now. Out of all of that I MIGHT end up with a house some day...or at least living in my partner's house. But a wife, kid, and a "real" job? Never gonna happen. I'm surprisingly fine with that...not so surprising on the "no children, ever" thing though.
Only real downside to being out of my 20s that I can see is now it'll be weird(er) for me to go to shows and my substance (ab)use will be more questionable.
i feel like there was no change at all when i entered my 30s. pretty much the same as you. No house, not married, no kids and I'm also pretty cool with it. I've been job searching and it can get pretty stressful. I don't know how i would deal with that if i had a mortgage payment and a family to worry about.

I thought about Portland too. There are a few companies there I could apply to but SF would be ideal. SF is just amazing
