  1. played a show in brooklyn a few weeks ago with these dudes while we were on tour... really awesome & down to earth guys. excellent band, sucks i was literally flat broke and couldnt pick anything up... they had some awesome fucking shirts!
  2. "We were a band for 7 years and it was time to not be a band anymore. I was in New York less and less and there was some record label stress and things were just getting too weird with the shows we were getting asked to play, the things we were getting asked to do, and the way we felt the band was being perceived. Personally, I don't give a shit about "being positive" or whatever that meant when we were all 18, and the most people seemed to be getting out of the band was "how important friendships are." Well how fucking boring is that? No shit friendships are important, but I think that was far away from the messages we were trying to convey with Latterman. I Felt like a broken record going on tour and talking about sexism in punk rock every night and then some fucking bro-dudes coming up to me and saying some fucked up shit. I even got to a point where I stopped calling them out on it, and that just felt wrong. I was tired. Basically, it just stopped making sense for everyone in the band to keep on doing the band. The band released ...We Are Still Alive in 2006. Update:The following was omitted and seems integral to Matt's message: This doesn't sum up how pat, phil, and brian feel obviously, or even all of my feelings on it, but I guess it's a concise version of what happened. We are all still friends."
  3. I hate to ask for uploads but I really want this! Latterman - None of These Songs Are About Girls Pleeeeeease?
  4. that's my favorite deluxe set yet. everything looks great!
  5. Mine actually looks similar to your copy. It definitely has a little pink in it but it's very blood red in most parts.
  6. Ahh, ok, I wasn't aware of the variants of pink. That's got to be what it is then. If my damn camera was actually working i'd snap a quick picture. The more I think about it, I think I got this from VC in either Sept/Oct.
  7. I was flipping through my records this morning and found a copy of "We Are Still Alive" on red.... I don't even remember ordering a copy of this, so my question is: Is this a 3rd pressing? I checked No Idea's site and they don't have anything listed. It definitely looks more red than pink (as listed in the 2nd pressing).
  8. Shorebirds LP I like everything about the album: artwork, insert, music, and even the design of the labels is cool.
  9. awesome! I finally heard them yesterday when I listened to the Delicious LP, that song "Drift" rules. I need to order a copy of the 7" asap.
  10. gnarly! and trust me, I know shitholes... (cough) Bath (cough)
  11. Holy shit, you're from Salamanca? I never would've thought anyone from there would post here! I'm from Bath, NY and drive out there to play poker @ the casino sometimes.
  12. I called Rev and they said the LP's would be going on sale this Friday around 6pm.
  13. I haven't listened to Mouthpiece in years but What Was Said is a solid LP (if it stood the test of time that is).
  14. so, tonight I picked up a 12'er of PBR and decided to do a little boozin' while listening to some new music. Anyway, after drinking a few I decided to break the shotgunner out. First beer I forgot to tilt the can down a little and sprayed beer all over the fucking place. Fail. Second beer I open a little better but decide to chug at a side angle instead of straight up and down. Well, I totally forgot that once you pop the top and tilt it sideways beer will spill all over the place. Jesus, not my night I guess. I've never been that good at shotgunning, way more of a funnel type of guy. Pointless story but i'm starting to get drunk so... you know how that goes.
  15. I never use my download coupons because I don't have an I-Pod andmy Jeep has a tape deck. If I want to listen to stuff in my car I just tape it. I also have a record player in my bedroom and living room so it's kind of useless.
  16. I kind of felt bad about taking so much free stuff but I was hungover and that line to buy records was insane, even at 11am. I did buy TONS of food though so maybe that balances everything out? Either way, thanks so much for putting on such a cool event! I met a lot of cool people just by hanging out for an hour or so.
  17. A couple things from VC/SH @ The Fest: Dillinger 4 - Midwestern Songs.... LP (doublewhiskeycokenoice vinyl) Tim Barry- Laurel St demo 12" (clear)
  18. I looked at the record more closely and realized that I had the Crucible 'My Heart' LP on gray in the Dragbody/Crucible sleeve. The split LP is actually on the blue color the poster above me posted.
