  1. Links for download were emailed out to backers today and the LP's are supposed to ship in about 2 weeks!

Good to know.  I guess the hunt is one.  Someone feel free to hit me up if they spot a nice lead on a purple YFIIP.

To answer your question, I'd probably just keep my eyes peeled on Discogs.  One went up for $30 about a month, unplayed condition.  I think there was one floating around on eBay for $50 as well, but I'm sure you could score one cheaper with a bit of patience.

I saw the one on eBay. Shipping to Canada is $30 US which just adds insult to injury to the fact this pressing wasn't released in Canada in the first place.

I messaged simple_torture so hopefully they can help me out.

Nevermind. They just called me and told me they only had black. Blerg.

Oh no. I wonder if there was a typo on the website and they were all black.

I ordered last night and no one has contacted me yet.

Just got an email saying order fulfilled and ready for pickup. I'll head over there at lunch to see what's up.

When I picked up mine, the receptionist went to a side room with all the orders sitting around. You wouldn't be able to tell which one is which because they're all in boxes/packaging.

Yep, mine was the same. The girl got it from a different room and it was already packaged and bagged with my name on it.

If you're nearby it wouldn't hurt to just stop by and ask. They have a nice office. There's some cool memorabilia up on the walls and an awesome translucent glass thing of the s/t artwork.

Side note - I just found out that June Records has copies of the red pressing of the s/t album. Collection is one step closer to complete ☺

  5. I picked mine up from the A&C office during lunch and I'm keeping it boxed up until I get home tonight.

I didn't really like Forgiveness Rock Record (I LOVE the self-titled) so I'm hoping it's a little different.

How do you guys think it stacks up against their other albums?

    *edit*

Had a chance to spin it tonight and my favourite songs are "Mouth Guards of the Apocalypse",  "Stay Happy", "Old Dead Young",  and "Towers and Masons".

I guess YFIIP and s/t will always have their place in the discography so there's no need to remake them.  Now I'm curious how much influence Dave Newfeld had on those two records. I'd just love to hear these guys make another song like "Almost Crimes" or "Ibi Dreams of Pavement".

  6. I'm doing local pickup at A&C's office and I haven't heard anything from them yet either. Maybe they're waiting until Friday.

    *edit*

When I log into my account through the Arts & Crafts website, it doesn't show up in my order history either; all I see is the downloads. However, if I go through the link in my order confirmation email it's there.

  7. I want that box set so badly but I've had so many ups and downs with money in the past two weeks. Every time think I'm good to place my order, something shitty happens.

I've been listening to OK Computer a lot lately and I forgot what a special place in time it represents.

Hopefully it'll be like the AMSP set and still be up for order for a while.
