  1. http://pitchfork.com/news/63295-ty-segall-wanders-los-angeles-in-twisted-emotional-mugger-music-video/

The Mugger video is a reflection on Los Angeles (and in general, urban plight and anxiety). Ty and I are big fans of practical/in-camera gore and effects, so this was an opportunity to experiment with those traditions. It's just important for me to use those effects as commentary (in the vein of Terry Gilliam and David Cronenberg). One thing I think is cool about the video, is that Ty and (the album's producer) F. Bermudez remixed the album specifically for the video... unlike most music videos, when you watch Emotional Mugger you are getting to hear different versions/interpretations of the music—so watching this video is not really about hearing music from the album as it's getting another experience from the Emotional Mugger dimension.
  2. Spun both reissues tonight and they sounded fantastic.  If you are a fan of these records, you will will not be disappointed with picking them up.  The packaging and sound quality is top notch.

Also, Intervention Records put this up on the Steve Hoffman forums last Friday:

"US retail is $35 and you should never pay a penny more. Some distributors are gaming the system by buying at retail and marking up. I recommend that you buy from my online resellers for the very best packing and service and of course the actual retail price! But I do sell on Amazon myself for the convenience of customers who wish to shop there, fulfilled by Amazon and Prime eligible. However, they don't allow 3rd party sellers to offer pre-orders. So there is a delay in posting. however, Amazon has the two Everclears and Ferguslie and in the process of checking them in. They should be fulfillable within a few days."

Looks like the resellers they are working with are Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, MusicDirect and SoundstageDirect.

  3. So I was just looking at the e-mail ITR sent out announcing the preorder, and they said colored (white) vinyl would start shipping in mid-October.  Anybody know if they are still on target for that (and would black be shipping at the same time)?  I was thinking about e-mailing ITR, but I'm sure they have enough going on with preparing to get the boatloads of Fuzz II records out the door.
